It will need more than just two big guns to participate to make it a great competition. Looks like tete won't be participating, which is insane and totally devalues the competition for me. Also will McDonnell, butler and others participate?? Remember there'll likely be pull-outs in a competition like this too for various reasons. I'm all for it, but I'll wait for the full list of participants before I get too excited.
A bit late but just wanted to add my congratulations for such a brilliant display. On a weekend of great boxing your performance stood out and it's nice to see you posting here and sharing the good news about the stitches. At the time I'll admit that we (family and me) were concerned for you and wishing the ref would stop the contest but with hindsight it was great you were able to carry on and claim such a deserved victory. You are a credit to boxing, good luck in your future career which many of us will be following with interest.
Terrible situation for Roy Sheehan to be in,having to go public as he wasnt payed for winning last man standing,Entered the competiton in good fate but found things in the pro game to be somewhat less scrupulous than he has been used to, Assassin promotion seem to be on the right side for not being in control of the boxers payment for this event but they themselves wanted 25% from roy approx 12k for being his manager, i said from early on the prizemoney was too big for the event and something was off, just this once im not happy to be proven right
Thanks very much kind praise, Pete Taylor deserves a lot of credit lil adjustments, getting lighter on feet keeping distance and staying switched on. I had bad habits of switching off taking a Lil walk and relying on my toughness giving away silly shots. Buzzing to get back to gym and keep improving learn from mistakes and push on again.
Well done to Katie again the weekend nice to see her on her way to becoming the best pro female ever on top of been the best amatuer that ever lived. Eddie Hearn has to be thinking about a Dublin fight with her, even with Ryan Burnett as a co feature up in Belfast, cant understnad why not.
I guess he's trying to build her profile in bigger markets, which will earn them both more cash. but i agree with you, would be great for her to fight in front of a home crowd.
If it makes money it makes sense. Would love to see Katie walking out to a packed house in ireland but id say you would have to pay one of the other champs top dollar to come here.
