Portlaoise TJ Doherty was far from average boxer as a AM . He was 5 x Irish Champion and beat Carl Frampton. Another young Irish fighter to watch out for is a stablemate of Darragh Foley is Mitchelstown Danny Keating. Danny came to Sydney two years ago . There are high hopes for Danny as he represented Ireland in underage Internationals. Currently Danny is 3 - 0 3 ko at 154 lbs. Danny says " I'm only 20. I've a long road ahead." The current WBO no 2 at 154 lbs Dennis Hogan is based in Brisbane.

Just a note of caution regarding Doheny. He was indeed a strong amateur but the five Irish titles were Underage/Intermediate titles.

In the main Irish Championships ('The Seniors') he competed four times.

    2005 - Semi-Finalist (lost only fight)
    2006 - Runner-Up (won 2, including v Frampton, lost 1)
    2007 - Semi-Finalist (lost only fight)
    2008 - Runner-Up (won 1, lost 1)

Dennis Hogan is looking to join the undercard of Golovokin vs Canelo rematch. With Spike O' Sullvain already on the card Hogan is hoping to face Jamie Muninga WBO 154 lb Champion. DDP Hogan's promoter were hoping to face Jamie in Brisbane but a appearance on the yr biggest card could be too tempting.

Regarding spike v Lemieux....I'll believe it when I see it. Can't shake the feeling that fight won't actuality happen.

WBO no 1 Dennis Hogan will find out this week if he is selected to face Jamie Munguia.
DDP Promotions has said " Dennis would be ready, 6 weeks is short , but he is in training already . "

Frampton has high praise fior MTK Global.

They definitely seem to take care of their boxers. There's no denying it....Comments from their boxers are usually very positive.

Or maybe they are promoting their event and fighters as best they can in their hometown, Visibilty is the best way to build your fighters profile,

I expect Carl to flatten Luke Jackson on the 18th. I won't be there to see it , but I was in the Odessy last time Carl fought ( and flattened) an Aussie boxer, and I expect the same thing to happen on the 18th....simple fact is Australian boxers are poor. A decent level local pug here in Ireland would be a national name in Australia. ...( take t j doheny for example). It's all about levels as they say.....

Yes they indeed do Pal. MTK Global through its MTK Sydney division branch has a advisory role with Aust boxer 's through its partnership with Bondi Boxing Club with coach / manager Tony Del Vecchio.
Two Irish fighter's based in Aust Gearoid Clancy are signed with MTK ( lost last fight to Steven Sparks for Aust 140 lb Title ) and 20 yr old 154 lb Danny Keating 3 - 0 3 ko .Danny was 2 x Nat Champ and European Bronze Medalist underage.
