Gents, full report from Stadium as well as odds and ends on the talking points on irish-boxing.com. All in all it was a brilliant night.
Looking forward to the Duddy Fight tonight, will it be Duddy the brawler or Duddy the boxer? Any predictions? I think Duddy points
very poor quality...a couple of people living abroad wanted to see this...maybe there's a better version somewhere online.. this is con sheehan vs alan reynolds... again...sorry about poor quality.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXb3Hu9hX_w
I think Duddy wants to lay down a marker, he will try to KO Vanda so I can see him brawling I hope I'm wrong and he boxes and waits for an opening But IMO Duddy PTS
Did anyone else notice how guant Dunne looked on last nights commentary?!I don't think I've ever seen him looking skinnier, is that normal this close to a fight? Also does anyone know whether Dunne's team have brought over any Panamanian or other South American fighters for Dunne to spar with in preparation for the fight?
yeah he looked thin and puny...but i hope he always looks like that at this stage of training camp...i know he has sparred with martin lindsay in the past...so i would b surprised if there not sparring now...as lindsay has a big fight coming up aswell..:good
Just looking at a documentary on Barry McGuigan and he had a few Panamanian guys over for sparring before he fought Pedroza, just wondering whether that was still a common practice before title fights. Lyndsay would be a good sparring partner for Dunne, just thought that Peters and co. would get in some tough South Americans to give Dunne a change of pace and get him ready for Cordoba.
philip stucklin's young lad caught johnny joyce with some bang last night. He looked gutted. I was expecting johnny and david oliver both to win convincingly.
i agree peters shouldnt leave any stone unturned...in his role as manager...and if that means forking out big dough 4 quality sparring...then he should:good
