I dont think hes abandoned boxing but hes certainly disillusioned with the sport hes found it hard to get fights over the past few years apparnetly he was carrying an injury into his last fight hense he retired.

I intend to get the whole story from wayne

Darren Sutherland's next opponent has been announced, Siarhei Navarka, who has a 6-22 record. He has been stopped 9 times. Very disappointing opponent, brings even less to the table than Iliev. Frank Maloney, wtf????

    BRING ON SUTHERLAND VS. GARCIA

Be fair now. You get spoon fed the first 5 or 6. I'm not a fan of Maloney but he's just protecting his investment. Let Sutherland get a few soft wins in before you give him anything approaching a live body. The pro game is very different. Why take the chance of putting Darren in against a live opponent in his 2nd fight and take the chance he might just get caught cold.

I'm as keen as anyone to see Darren be competitive and start moving up the ladder but let's face we're going to have to wait a couple of years. I expect him to be fairly competitive at Commonwealth level or so around fight 15.

news indeed, good that hes brought all those lads onboard but theres always worries with a fighter that changes so much stuff in his camp for this fight?
also who is blue shinners? wat a name! someone please come on here and tell me hes a 70 yr old black dude from america who used to play jazz and is extremely weather worn? no just me.....

also COME ON ROGIE! not much hype on this board about his fight compared to harrison........johnny nelson reckons marty has no hopes....**** him. rogie meets him for physicality and beats his work rate, doesnt get carried away and keeps his punches short and not let his digs go wider that skeltons frame he can do it!
did i read somewhere that eamon magee has been used in sparring? please say no

The more I read hear about Bernard the more excited Im getting about Bernards chances. I know the odds are stacked.. but fight night fever IS starting to set in here.

As for big Rogie, if anyone can be accused of an abundance of self belief, its him. That is the confidence and will to win, thats needed when the going gets tough against Skelton, and it will be tough. But as you said COME ON BIG ROGIE:happy:happy:happy:happy

    yes...come on 'rocky' rogan !!

i think if he tries as hard as he did against harrison he could do this.

I know what you mean about Dunne, I really think he can do it! Great to see there is no expense being spared to get him ready for Cordoba.

Rogie is a tough fecker! Everybody wrote him off against Harrison, now it's the same story with Skelton, it would be a mistake for Skelton to take him lightly imo.

Have a couple of new bits up on irish-boxing. Also did the recordings for the March radio show yesterday. Dunne, Harry Hawkins, Andy Murray, Neil Sinclair, Kevin O'Hara, Michael Kelly and Austin O'Callaghan from the BBC. Starting to edit it tonight so will have it hopefully tomorrow evening. If not sometime over the weekend.
