Would like to see Corbett/Timms for the irish crown. Also Jim rock against Mike Sweeny (or if not sweeny Jamie Power)for the light heavy crown.
Youth versus experience.See if the younger guys can win the titles and create an interest in being the Irish champion. The passing of the torch so to speak.
Any other youth versus experience one you guys can think of ?

    Murray - ***an

or I believe Andy Lee has relinquished the Irish super-middleweight belt as he had no defence in a year. So Sutherland's camp are talking about a fight with Brian Magee.

    thanks for those links ardy.

rogan beating haye..a much as i am in awe of rogan at the moment, i am sure that haye would be much too much....i hate to say this, but the man who stands off rogan and jabs and crosses from long range..a bit like the fight douglas gave to tyson..thats the man who will win every round against rogan...i couldn't imagine rogan bulling his way inside with a good long range boxer...but, he's done well up to this i suppose, so who am i to pick holes.

and poor old mc cullough is in cloud cukkoo land...all the best to him though...he an irish boxing great.

Rogan's asset is not only his chin, determination, workrate and heart, but also speed of hand and ability to close the gap between himself and opponent. A large heavy who can't move quickly enough on his feet will always have trouble with Rogan, but of course Haye is not a large bulky heavy, he's a slick moving, power punching small heavy. But if Martin can take Haye into the middle rounds, then Haye who has stamina problems along with a suspect chin could be in trouble. That is not to say I would favor Rogie over Haye, I'm simply stating that it would not be foregone conclusion.

Good luck to Wayne, I hope he finds contentment in his life.

just hearing on the news that egan has puled out of dunne undercard...shame, i was looking forward to seeing him live..

dunno whats going on in the lads head, but i think he needs as much space as possible...let him get whatever he needs to get out of his system.

be a shame if people in ireland jump on a bandwagon and start slagging him for his recent behaviour, he deserves to be given the full respect of the people...he owes nobody anything...i think he just has to work out for himself whatever is bothering him.

Agreed he deserves full respect. As far as i know this is true he didn't give the tubridy show any notification that he wasn't going to appear. So what ever it is he can get it sorted.
My suspicion is that he is pondering which route to proceed.

    yeah I hope so too

He was very hurt over the whole brain scan fiasco and feels the best years of his career were taken from him. he was also brought in as an opponent for many of his fights. I think he has some things he needs to get out that can only be done in the ring.

He went into his last fight carrying an injury hense the stoppage the reason why he carried on with it was that he thought it would be his last shot.

I wish him the best. He doesnt want an automatic shot he is ready to try and work his way up in the rankings again. I wish wayne the best of luck god knows he hasnt had it easy.

i wish wayne the best too...but if he had an injury going into the last fight he should have pulled the plug on it....i hear what you say about it being his last shot...but i hate when boxers say after fights that they lost because they had an injury or the flu or whatever...all boxers have a choice to bring an injury into a fight if they have one...bitching about it afterwards is bollocks.
    and..i'm a mc cullough fan.
