these beers before the Dunne fight - has anything been arranged? Maybe the Irish supporters club bus could make it there drop off and pick up point?
We'll be going down fairly early. Maybe getting to Dublin about half six. the options on that are to go to the bar at Jury's, the Harbourmaster, or to prop up one of the bars in the O2 good and early. A load of us will have supporters club ties on so we should be easy to spot. The likes of Mulligans, Longstone or any of the bars round there are probably too far? Neds anyone? Is there any decent bars beside Bus Aras and Connolly?
cool.would you be able to acquire a supporters club tie for moi? Happy to pay for it. Aftrer all I was the first ever member! *polishes his nails on his chest*
yeah the ties are €15. Did a deal with Bogart (Belfast and Newry), one of our sponsors. The ties actually cost £20 (roughly €25) in the shops so its a good deal. I'll have a few with me. If I run out I'll order some more. What we hope is that members of the club can go to fights and identify other club memebers
Yip, I'll have one of those - it is the green and light green striped ones that were given to the boxers at the awards - just thinkin what I can wear that might go with it - such a tart! :0
thanks paddy, that's a shame, was lookin forward to watchin it live,im friends with spike and im gutted i cant make it over to boston,so was delighted when i heard the news that it was being shown live but it will have to do.ya terrific value, would be great if the smaller irish promoters could strike up a deal with go fight live. what do u think of spikes new oppenent paddy? He's better than the last one anyway.
How ya Lucas, I've written a piece on Spike that is due up on Cormac Campbell's site today. Feature on him to follow. He's a confident lad, with a Mike Tyson/Roy Keane-like menace about him. And he hits like a mule. I found out the hard way when asking him for a demonstration.
funny you should mention that about the smaller shows here.....watch this space yeah originally i was impressed with spikes last opponent that is until i saw the last time he fought! I didnt expect spike to be given too much of a challange this time out i think his opponent might have enough experiance so spike wont have everything his own way (I hope..) I'll definately be getting this card. I'll see about getting a free pass for this pay per view as a prize for a competition on the show
I tell ya, he gives you a look/smirk similar to Keano when you ask him a question he doesn't like, and you don't know if he's messing about or not. Dunno if he's gonna answer or give you a clatter!
