Guys did anyone else hear Rubin Dias of spain could be Lees opponent,
This would be great, dias is number 10 in Europe and if he wins this would definetly move andy into Euopes top ten (hes 12 now)and bring him close to a European title shot that i blieve he could win.
Saw this on another website so i dont have any proof but it would be cool..

    The rules are:
To be eligible to take part in a contest for a European Championship a Boxer must :
3.1. be at least 20 years of age ; and
3.2. be domiciled and a national of a European Country ; and
3.3. have boxed at least five of his last ten fights in Europe.
3.4. be licensed by an Affiliated National Association ; and
3.5. be approved by the E.B.U. Council.
3.6. not holding any World Title of any Federation.

Lee meets this criteria, otherwise they wouldn't even rank him.
Hence why John Duddy isn't ranked.

Paddy, nice interview. I wish i saw it earlier I would have had a lot of questions. Micky is a teamster now in Charlestown? He truly is a working class hero. From an irish angle you could have asked him about sparring Mannion, Collins, etc. He was also going to fight eamonn magee in boton.

He was saying he would have loved the chance to fight over here but it never came up.

Imagine that fight in the Kings Hall.......

Yeah Sipos is in he's a good challenge for Andy and has fought for the Euro crown recently losing a dodgy decision.
Like the spaniard a win here for Andy puts him in line for a european shot in mid to late summer.Thomand park in Limerick was being mentioned as a possible venue. This card is really starting to take shape.
    :thumbsup:bbb:D

If im being completely honest with you I had a million other questions to ask him and when i got talking to him my mind went blank!

I got a text off micky afterwards he really enjoyed being on the show and having the chance to talk to his fans.

I'm going to get Sean Eklund on in the future. Micky will definately be back in the future.

I think the fact micky is a teamster just shows the guys attitude. It really is fantastic and an inspiration.

when i said that he wouldnt come up for all the money in the world I believed him and i think everyone else did too.

Thats probably the best show we've done so far as regards the three of us gelling.

Great news - did you have an upturn in interest after Lee was added or was it nearly full already?Make sure you keep a tie aside for me cos I dont know the next time I will be back in Ireland to get it.
