I heard something about spike but im not sure how true it is! so im going to keep it to myself! hopefully he will be busy this year more than likely in the states. o'connor is definately going to have a busy year we'll find out more about his plans this thursday! eddie hylands blood work was late getting done so he couldnt fight  thats all the info i have right now which isint much! they usually do good post fight interviews so hopefully i'll have a bit more news later on
Fra, Goody Petronelli is going to be in Spike's corner when possible in the future. That's some lift, with Hagler's trainer saying he can go to the top. Eddie Hyland is fighting on a card on the East Coast next week, after his blood tests came back too late for last night's show. I woke poor Paddy Hyland up this morning for the results, ha ha, he was a good sport about it though. Nice lads, are the Hylands and their da. I left him get back to bed before I managed to get the O'Connor result!
cheers podge..did oconnor win...how did spike perform ..any knockdowns...will he be fighting in the US 4 the foreseeable future...as paddy stated:good
Fra, Just got this email from Paschal Collins Hi Padraig Spike won 4th round disqualification. Leblanc came out in the first and tried to stand with Spike. Spike was hurting him with hard body shots, by the end of the third leblanc was holding onto Spike trying to smother his punches. At the beginning of the fourth Leblanc went for broke landing a big right hand followed by a left hook but Spike just smiled at Leblanc, and then got off with some of his own shots, landing crisp jabs. The right hook to the body was getting through with ease, Leblanc could do nothing but hold on. After two warnings to Leblanc for holding the referee disqualified him signalling the end at 215 of the fourth round and declaring Spike the winner and new American Fighting Organisation Jr Middleweight Champion Regards Paschal
Former Irish national amateur champion Gary “Spike” O’Sullivan (7-0, 5 KO’s), sporting his hair shaved into the shapes of shamrocks http://www.8countnews.com/news/125/ARTICLE/1483/2009-03-15.html
Don't know about O'Connor last night, but I would imagine that Spike will be fighting in the US more than at home, going on what Paschal Collins said.
thanks 4 all the news lads...im starting my saint paddys day early...in other words im going out now to get blocked:good
