just watched the news dunne came in a pound underweight . he didnt have to strip off . is this a good thing he came in underweight ? or would he have been better off coming in bang on weight ?

Christ, I don't know who to believe - one of the fellas I talked to who was there said he had to strip off, but now says he thought he had to because of the commotion around the place at the exact moment. There was dozens of people there when he was weighing in, all trying to get their oar in.

My source thought there was issues with his underpants - I hold my hands up, got it wrong. Aplogies lads, and especially to BamBam.

was your guy ever at a weigh in before. The is often "high jinx" during a weigh in - doesnt necessarily mean anything is wrong per se.Anyway its good to hear he didnt have to go commando to make the weight

Lads calm the fcukkk down lol, I was at the weigh in an Dunne didnt have to go commando and didnt come in a pound under weight as reported. He came in pretty much bang on limit at 8-9 & 14 oz, against cordobas 8-9-4oz.

Dunne actually looks in great nick, slightly more definition & not as gaunt as he would usually look pre fight, I also know that he ate on the morning of the weigh in so all your worries are totally un warranted. I know everyone is on the edge of their pants with this (me included) but lads trust me on this one :). For the record I honestly think the bookies have made a c_ock up of pricing this fight up, they are factoring in the kiko fight way too much on this one. I got 16-1 for a dunne stoppage, now there is no way in hell he should be this price and certainly not given the shape & condition he is in.

Cordoba on the other hand came in slightly under the limit and actually looked quite frail (particularly in his mid-drift), I would hazard a guess that Dunne will be a couple of pounds heavier come fight time.

Lads keep the faith & get the rosary beeds out, CMON BEN do your stuff and make all of ireland proud

That's a relief fightingirish, its a been major concern for the men here that the weight has been made correctly.I have a feeling this fight could go to the wire. Boxing news have forecast a close points win for Cordoba, but I will swing the other way and predict a tight points win for young Bernard. Bernard will raise to the occasion and make Ireland proud.

wasnt there at the weigh in but have actually heard some good things about ben, maybe he was not as weight drained as rumoured,
when i seen him on the news during the week maybe he had just had a nap before it or something because of how lethargic he looked, i know a lot of lads that know ben as mates from the greenfort estate in neilstown who were saying he would struggle to weigh in this time, that was the rumour around the estate all week

i must say im chuffed now as the rumours had gotten me down for this fight and didnt think he had a chance, now after hearing this i actually cant wait for this

    good luck ben
