Im gutted lads, not only did I have to miss the fight at the point due to other commitments, but I could not get watching it on tv either. Im only in,the worst for wear, but Im sure the fight will be up on the rte site later.
But aside from my pain:| of missing the fight, Im delighted for Bernard and for all the boys who were there last night.:yep

Yea unbelievable day for Irish sport. Didn't go to the fight because by the time i went to book it all the cheaper seats were gone....I regret my *****rdliness now!! :(

Ended up watching it in a rowdy bar though so was next best thing.

just watched the fight on u tube after getin screwed by the RTE stream which worked perfectly well for the whole show until the dunne fight

what a fight! unreal back and forth action and i was hugely impressed with the technical ability on display, every irish fighter out there needs to be working with mike mcgurn!

on another note, the fight should have been stopped after the 2nd knockdown in 11th-----Cordoba was blinking and squinting and tryin to look his corner, bad stoppage

anyway, bernard take 4/5 months off i shud think, then couple 'home' defences (mess munroe about in the process) then unification in vegas baby!!!!

Very possible, i never knew Dunne could dig so deep. He will always be a hero in my eyes for that performance.

Hello fellow boxing nuts, I'm still pinching myself, not quite believing what transpired in front of my eyes at The Point last night.Whereas I thought Dunne could sneak a tight decision in the same style as his Pickering victory, I never believed he could ever muster the resolve he demonstrated last night. I truely thought the fight was over in the 5th,and for Bernard to come back in such splendid fashion, dig deep and come on as strong as he looked in the 11th was a marvel to behold. Was this the same boxer who always seemed to have severe stamina problems, well that Bernard disappeared and a "new improved" Bernard appeared. In a division laden with talent Dunne has pushed himself to the front, and tough defences lie ahead. But that's for the future, and for now we should enjoy the moment. This was a night to remember, a night of passion,a night to be proud to call oneself an Irishman.

yeah I'll have to chime in with Ardy there. He was a new man. Every Irish based boxer should be giving Mike McGurn and co a ring this morning. The improvement was astonishing. Even had I know that McGurn had gotten positive results (rather than thinking the complete opposite!) I still could never have imagined just how much improvement he could drag out of Dunne with their training.

Big whopper bill in Croker this summer anyone? Dunne, Duddy, Lee, Macklin, Rogie, etc.. etc... around July/August??? Could you imagine it!!! ****ing hell what a scene that would be. Someone give Brian Peters a ring and tell him to get on it!
