Irish Boxing

I would be very surprised if it is. RTE have not shown any of John's previous American fights and if they intended to show this one they would be shouting it from the rooftops with nightly promotions etc. To date there has been no mention whatsoever.

 

thanks lads ...maybe duddys fight will still be on....did anyone watch pavlik/taylor last night...pavlik looked good....does anyone think duddy will beat him...

 

You guys would know better than me, but I doubt rte would get the rights to show an HBO fight. Although it is not ppv so it is possible.

 

i wasnt very impressed with kelly last night and think that him a john would be a very close fight with duddy getting inside kellys guard very often,much props to jermaine by the way,he had a great fight that i scored his way.

I think it is important for Duddy to look good this week to build a fight against pavlik. As a fan who goes back to his fight against Ladat in which he was dropped in the first round, i can honestly say Duddy as looked very averaged as of late. He really didn't land a meaningful punch against Strickland(very boring fight), Bonsante, Eastman, and even Furlan until the bad stoppage. I really hopes he puts on the type of dominating performance he did prior to campas. As for pavlik i really can't comprehend peoples hate towards him. He has ko 29 of 32 opponents and people say he has no power (lol) and then shows another side by giving a nice boxing performance and going the distance. I still believe Duddy has the ability to beat pavlik i just hope he makes people take notice this weekend.

 

I mostly agree with this.Duddys only chance against Pavlik is to catch him with a big left hook when Pavlik throws his right.Taylor showed us how to defend against Pavliks big right.Duddy will be busier than Taylor was but his defense is no where near as good.He has a lot to work on in a short time

 

duddy needs to improve on recent performances....to beat pavlik....and like ml...i think he can improve
