He should have been able to beat him no matter which way he fought.
    I'm absolutely distraught here.

I didn't think Duddy would ever gain a title unless he fought a shot Light-Middlweweight title holder(eg Verno Phillips or Forrest on a bad day).

    But he's after losing to a journeyman(he's not even a gatekeeper) Light-Middleweight.
It's just hard to comprehend. It's not the end of John Duddy but it's a very rude awakening.

He's probably thrown away a Top Rank deal here, which would of been very valuable for John. He may still get Julio Cesar Chavez jnr though, Arum might be eager to match them now.

From the reports Duddys discipline was once again gone and he suffered another few cuts. Sounds like he got sucked into a brawl and didnt have the brains to box around him. Unless he gets a rematch immediately its game over Duddy.

yup unless duddy rematches this guy he is finished in terms of viable credibility. people at home were always reluctant to fully get behind john cos we knew he was limited but supported him cos hes a top bloke

talking about world title fights is insane, check out someones ringside video of the fight on you tube, hes so far off world class its unreal.....

dont know if i ever really believed in him but i supported him and cant really work out where he goes from here
