Was out last night so I forgot about this one totally. Just caught this now. He was brutal. Oh so very limited. Dropping a points decision to someone of that low standard is quite frankly a terrible loss.

He knew well he was beaten. Not abandoning the lad and wish him all the best but he was garbage. He's looked ropey in his last 5 fights now (with the exception of the Howe fight maybe). really hard to know where he can go.

i'd rather see duddy lose like that than get busted up badly by a world class opponent.
i like duddy a lot. him and lee would make a good fight i think.

Finally got to see the Appleby/Lindsay fight and what a fight it was, Two warriors in a amazing atmosphere and a great fight, a credit to everyone involved. Lindsay deserved his win and I'm glad that Appleby put on such a gutsy performance and went out like a warrior on his feet.

What do you lads think about Bunceys rant on Setanta about these two being Championship novices and not ready for a World Title shot yet!

I know exactly what you mean there about Duddy Doug. However, the problem is this isn't going to put Duddy off wanting to fight for a world title (understanable) but it might not put his handlers off it either. He is still a big enough draw to get a crack at something but I am afraid of exactly what you are talking about, he gets thrown in with a world class champion, is too brave for his own good and gets badly hurt.

Great showing from Lindsay, definitely a possible world title contender. Too soon now though. Rush the lad and he'll get badly beaten and may never be the same. I wouldn't be more than 60% - 40% leaning towards Bernard to beat Cruz if they faced off. So Lindsay -v- Cruz would be 20% - 80% in favour of Cruz for me. Give him another 2-3 fights to get him primed then have a look at a world title shot. I'd hate him to get derailed just by being in too much of a rush. He's only 26, no mad rush, it can wait another 12 months

Just watched the youtube clip. Not really convinced with that Garcia performance, doesn't really throw his punches with any real conviction does he :scaredas: :bbb

You wouldn't skip him in the queue at abrekebabra on a saturday night anyway!

Brutal loss for Duddy - i think he has 2 choices now, either fight the likes of Manfredo,Chavez jnr or Ronald Hearns to re-establish some credibility or else go home and go after a European title.

Thats the funny thing usually after a loss a fighter will go down to fight a lesser opponent but duddy cant go anywhere . If he were to take on one of those mentioned he would have to give the performance of his life.
Id like to see him at home
