    ***an/Murray is a no brainer!

Id like to see Darren Corbett carry on from prize fighter can get in top shape and have a fight between him and Bobby Gunn for the Irish CW title (Bobby is fighting Adamek in July...)

It makes sense Darren is ranked#1 and Bobby is #2

Well Darren is the champ, and he has not defended his title for years. Some one should step up to the plate and challenge him.:bbb

Some good fights here fra, I have mentioned Pajo Hyland against Martin Lindsay a few time now. This fight would make it to the TV screens, it would be that big. And I for one would love to see it.:thumbsup

I wonder is Daddy Hyland feeling the pressure yet the whole of the Irish boxing public is waiting for a special night out come July 18th.
we all need a good, value for money, fun, exciting, competitve night.
I will definetly travel i think, but i also hope it is shown on TV somewhere.
the smaller Promoters need the tv money to bring in the good opponents and get more publicity,

Just back from Castlebar, Eastern European's were not as bad as i thought they'd be.at least some of them tried to put up a bit of a fight and earn their paycheck.

Highlight of the night was the 2 and a half minute slugfest with Eddie Hyland and Juris Ivanovs, What a scrap, Loads of spirit shown by the Latvian who kept coming looking for more punishment after getting repeatedly put down, the second Knock down was a beauty, should be up on Youtube or GofightLive in the next few days i would imagine.

Anthony Fitzgerald looks like he's getting back to basics and listening to his corner, which is good to see, admittedly his opponent was 2-12 so you would expect Anthony to beat this guy but he did look very good doing it, and it's good to see him back in winning ways.

And another entertaining fight to say the least was the Pro Debut of Finbar Eade who went in with a spirited little fella from Bulgaria who came to win the fight by any means necessary with big punches, wrestling, MMA style knees and when all that failed jumping on Eade and the two of them rolling around on the Canvas looking to improve their ground game.:D

Good effort from Finbar on his debut faced with the rough-housing tactics of Yordan Vasilev tough fight for a debut but he handled it well i thought.

All in all i enjoyed the evening, not a bad night out.

Nah man it was a poor turn out.:deal

According to Don O'Leary there's another show planed for the Citywest, Dublin in September.

Hyland,Fitzgerald and Eade all looked good but i forgot to mention Oisin ***an.

Great to see Oisin back in action, totally bossed his opponent and had him down twice in the second, one of the knockdowns a huge shot to the solar plexis that took the wind out of his opponent, all the shots, Left Hooks,Right hooks, Uppercuts nice combos' before finally finishing him in the fifth, Again the Opponent didn't just lie down but he was totally outclassed.

Michael Sweeny scored a shut out but it was hard going for him as his opponent came to spoil and hold for the whole fight, Sweeny looked disapointed with the showing, I think he wanted to put on a show in his Irish farewell.

And the award for Best footwork of the night goes to Micky Vann who was the ref in the ***in fight, dance's like a Russian Ballerina that man.:yep
