Hear Hear! It is brilliant to catch up on what is happening and is a real wellspring of information.:good
Hear, hear. Ardy, you were the man with the vision. As Podge said this thread is the first port of call for all Irish boxing fans on the web.
yep ...this thread is a thriving success:yep... i hope lees on sky 2 night...been wanting 2c this fight all week:good
Just watched it there. He gets worse everytime I see him. Well not quite but he isn't progressing properly IMO. Honestly, I hate to be down on the lad but he looks like he can be easily got to on the inside, he doesn't move his head and he doesn't throw the jab properly. I wonder does he suffer from lack of confidence. He seems to have all the tools but doesn't use them properly.
i agree..hes looking bad...real bad...he should have blew that guy away in no time...why o why does he not work that jab...manny is ****ing him up...he needs 2 move away from him b4 things get any worse:good
lee was very very poor! have to fear for him if he ever faces a puncher his defence is shocking and his punching one dimensional,i had great hopes for him but i dont think he is going to make it to be honest,he has the one of the best camps etc but seems to be going backwards! still though think he shud fight duddy would be one hell of a exciting fight huh!
thats dissapointing to hear lads. Like the rest of you guys I've been following Lee pretty much since the olympics and was really excited about his potential in the pro ranks. He is still my favourite boxer and the one guy i always look out for, but the last 14 months haven't been very good for Lee. I do think he needs a new trainer. It seems like Steward is not gonna be good for his career. Imagine if he had freddie Roach as a coach!!
Didn't see it but 'm not surprised. No wonder Manny just keeps feeding him bums. McCloskey and Dunne are the only hopes.
im worried about mccloskeys upcoming fight..he will need 2 put the verdict beyond doubt...if he is 2 come away with the belt:good
Where did you see it BAM BAM? It is disapointing but it is another win lets face it.I'm clinging to the hope that Andy is the type of fighter that will rise (or fall) to the level of his opponent,I was in Limerick when he beat Gibbs and i was very impressed as you said he has all the tools lets hope this was just a marking time fight. He got the win,he got the eight rounds under his belt now i believe his next opponent could be the most important of his career. What direction is he going to go?
lads lee last night was shocking.....he cant tie up his opponent, he cant fight on the inside, he doesnt throw body shots and the above criticisms are all valid- he looked like a different fighter and im afraid he may be pissing his career up the wall
I wonder if lost a bit of focus, he seemed a bit down in this interview afterwards. He looked a totally different fighter to when he faced Gibbs and showed the same weaknesses in defence which cost him against Vera.
