Irish Boxing

does anyone know anything about the promotion at the national stadium Dublin....on the 19th april...there seems to be professional boxing all around Ireland at the mo:hi:

 

cheers...old wise one...are u...are is anyone going to any of these promotions in Ireland ...or to the march 15th promotions in NYC or boston

 

Ardy, that article mentions Rogie being in that heavyweight boxoff competition. You think this could be a good move for him?

A bit depressed about the Duddy fiasco? Might have been the best thing for him. Learn a lesson that he doesn't have to impress anyone with his chin, we already know. He can just be the sharp, agressive boxer/puncher (hands up) that he's built to be.

 

Yup, these the guys you love. But, I love to save them from that punishment. I did not enjoy seeing Duddy headbashed so severely in that fight. He is a warrior no doubt and would fight till he's dead, but do you wish that on yer brother?

 

I definately don't feel comfortable watching Duddy take shots like that but it's not every fight he takes that many clean shots. His defence isn't the greatest but he is what he is we should accept that instead of keeping to look for something which isn't going to happen.

He'll get his shot at Pavlik and he'll take some big punches but with his heart and determination he might just do it. We can hope!

 

he takes clean shots..flush on the melon...surely he can hold his hands up higher... to block some of these blows... his career will not last long...if he keeps fighting the way he does

 

You may accept it, as long as its somebody else taking it!! Duddy is a beautiful guy, we can all see that! I love the guy!! I just hope he can get his **** right, 'TO HIT WITHOUT BEING HIT' in the future. To me, Klit - Ibragimov was the way it should be done. I had people there to help me see Duddy fight, I hyped him up good, then he takes brain killer shots to the head that had my people staring at me and and shaking their heads. I had young fighters with me who thought he was gunna get KOed or stopped. Watching Duddy fight like that won't sell fights to parents. For ****sakes, he's Irish!

 

I think the whole fight is on a you tube link in 2 round segments. There was one point there in the early rounds where I thought he had Smichet rocked, just a bit. Anyway,I read someplace(forget where)that Smichet said in a canadian interview that he didn't know how Duddy stayed on his feet, with the shots he was hitting him with. I wonder about the advice he was getting in the corner, also how long for those cuts to heal.:roll:

 

He's a Ukrainian Ardy, the Irish have the emotion. Love Klits brain, and love Duddy's heart:thumbsup I wonder if we can get Steward to coach our man......... he's got Lee fighting after Klits style. Klit just fought one of the safest fights of his career, but it was just ok that Ibragimov didn't get hurt either, he seems a nice guy. The create your own distance and hold it style of boxing permeates the word 'science', and that is the best part of the game.

 

As a matter of fact i read a very good boxing article in "the western people" ( mayo paper) today it quoted gary hyde as saying that perez will make a bigger impression on world boxing than mike tyson ever did. Perez looks in way better shape than that slob solis and the article also said that micheal sweenny ko'd andy lee in the ams!!! Btw henry coyle won in america last tuesday.
