I got the impression by that interview that Lee was particulary keen to be fighting here in Ireland again, even though he said he will honour the agreement with Peters.

I'm sure he enjoys the adulation of the fans in Ireland and in particular Limerick. He will also be aware however that to enhance his name, marketability and money making potential America is where it is at, especially on these big cards with Pavlik. We should make the most of the fights he has remaining in his agreement with Brian Peters.

I'm sure Andy wants to fight in Ireland but Arum said that the proposed may date with Eastman will have to be cancelled as it's too close to the june date on Pavliks next undercard. As for his other Irish dates I don't know about them. He will fight Vera next on ESPN and then fight on a club show in Detroit but that will be his last fight until june.

I interviewed Andy Lee last night on 'Toe2Toe'.

He is such a humble kid. Being half an Irishman, I always root for the Irish and Andy is slowly becoming one of the best I've seen.

You can here his interview at www.TheKnockoutNetwork.com.

Thanks Mike, it,s great to get your input into our Irish boxing thread.A lot of Irish-Americans post on here. Some have told us about Joe McCreedy who fights on the Manfredy undercard next Friday. Do you know who he fights.

Also about Lee.Do you think he has the potential to defeat Pavlik at some stage soon.

A little reminder, Kiko Martinez depends his superbantamweight European title against Rendall Munroe tonight. The contest can be seen on Sky TV.

Irish fighters Scott Belshaw[heavyweight] and Brian Magee[supermiddle] are on the undercard.:hi:

looking forward to seeing martinez again....the result against dunne could have been a fluke...i think dunne is in line to fight the winner of these two...and scott belshaw could be the heavyweight....we could all be looking for

kiko martinez well beaten by the big and powerful munroe who looked more like a super featherweight than a super bw,doubt bernard willhave the chin to stand to any of these powerhouses.

think it shows how cold dunne was caught though, munroe survived an early onslaught and was able to find ways inside and had alot of success, maybe if bernard hadnt been so cocky he would have tried to avoid kikos montrous shots.

Duddy is pure class. The perfect ambassador to the sport. Someone needs to check Don Turner for a pulse. I liked Harry Keitt much more, I hope he can get to the top with James Moore.
