Munroe is a good fighter , certainly doesn't look World class but is more than a solid champ at European level . He is a slick fighter who is equally comfortable in counter punching or leading , he has a decent punch(despite what he showed against Kiko) is huge at the weight , and very strong .
Good speed , stamina , chin and has a nice tight defense .
He showed against Kiko that he can follow a gameplan perfectly too .

If a fight with Dunne was to go ahead(and I assume it will sometime this year) Munroe would be playing the opposite role to the one he played against Kiko . In that fight Munroe boxed to a cautious gameplan , stayed on the outside and used his superior speed to outbox Martinez .

Dunne is quicker than Munroe and has better reflexes , although Dunne's defense overall is worse . Munroe also has the better chin and power .
I see this as a 50/50 fight , with Munroe by stoppage or Dunne on points being the likely scenarios .

As for Dunne being bitter , I'm kind of glad to see that . Many close to him have been saying he doesn't have the same hunger anymore and comments like the ones he made seem to indicate he is indeed bitter and thus does indeed still care about this sport and his place in it .

Munroe will want to add the British title to the European as soon as possible , although Pickering may want another defence of his title first .
Dunne will probably be looking at two comeback fights and then a fight with Munroe anytime between August-October . But that is mostly speculation .

Any word on what Molitor is doing next Hawks ?

He will fight his mandatory, Fernando Beltran Jr., on April 5th at Casino Rama. After that , who knows.

It was reported after his last fight that his promoter was involved in ongoing talks with both Caballero and Ponce De Leons people. From what I understand, Ponce has shown no interest in getting in the ring with Molitor.

A couple weeks ago, ESPNs Dan Rafael reported that Molitors promoter offered Caballero a deal that included a fight at Rama in early summer to hype up a unification bout later in the year. This was turned down, as Caballero went with the PDL rematch instead. Although, this week I heard that PDL turned down Cab, and went with JuanMa Lopez instead, hasnt been confirmed though. If true though, that leaves Cab without a fight. Maybe they will re-open talks with Molitors promoter. Im sure they have no interest in fighting in Canada in either the 'hype up' match or the unification bout, but maybe they can agree on something else. Im not optimistic though. And I think PDL will likely lose his belt in his next fight, whether its against Cab or Lopez, so there goes the chance of that fight happening, though chances were very slim anyway.

Hey Ardy, honestly I dont even know who Lindsays opponent is yet. I could have sworn I saw the name somewhere and it was a Mexican, but I looked around and couldnt find anything. Boxrec still doesnt even have the fight listed, and fightnews.ca still has Lindsay vs. TBA. I wouldnt be at all surprised if Lindsays fight goes a lot like his last 2 matches with Mexicans at Rama, even if they do take a bit of a step up. From what I remember, both matches were very similar, except that the 2nd one was 10 rounds and maybe slightly more 1 sided. At the end of an entertaining 1st round, Im thinking maybe this will be a closer fight than expected. Then the 2nd round starts and Lindsay begins to box smarter, uses his jab more effectively, picks his opponent apart with well timed, well placed combos to the body and head, and pretty much dominates for the rest of the fight. He rarely gets hit with any clean shots from round 2 on as well, very sound defense. Unless this opponent is a big step up, I would expect to see scores of 100-90 or close to that.

brilliant ML ill be looking forward to another W on lee's record an in honesty vera is decent competition for andy especially if its a tune up for a fight in april,i just love how active he keeps!
macklin fight next week aswell, should be a war ... cant wait,i think macklin is around the same level as john except less marketing and not as great a will, but i do feel he is a better contender than someone like lockett, who lets face it,has been in with sub-mediocre opponents.

aye,i was hoping to get a wee trip to NYC for june 7,luckily thats been done away with,me cousins wedding the same day down in letterkenny, that would have been a serious conflict of interest.

aye,us derry 'uns are usually a good bunch, they love a bandwagon back home and thats what duddy has seriously created.i remember in his first 15 fights i was telling everyone 'duddy, irelands next world champ, hes from here get behind him' noone listened then when bbc started covering his fights people started to care,in honesty that actually really annoyed me,seems quite an english thing to do,but ahhh well,we are dominated by the *******s.

so hopefully by next year ill be able to get a trip to the states in to see duddy ko pavlik in 7 :D .

i love watchin mccloskey fight,he has shades of naseem without the power,he's so unorthodox and its great to watch,i go back home on the night of his fight, was going to go then seen the ticket prices ... not all that nice for a wee student as meself.

are you from ireland,or are you irish american ML?

Proud New England Irish American. With Boston and New York there is never a shortage of irish fighters from both sides of the pond. When you get that chance to go to NYC you wont't want to leave. The Irish have always been the bedrock of the city.
