another new guy....well if you want to chat about irish boxing...you have came to the right place...you might not always get a reply right away...but you will find someone will answer you at some point...you must be going to the dunne/machado[is that the right spelling] fight on april 12th.
I think I read somewhere that Amir Khan wants to fight Rees!! So there would be a Khan-McCloskey fight in the future. Now that would be huge.
mccloskey/khan could fill out a huge stadium in Ireland...mouth watering or what...i think rees is very beatable...who ever gets to rees first can beat him...more than likely it will be khan due to there connections with warren

Rees is very beatable , infact so beatable that come Saturday Kotelnik will be the new WBA Light-Welterweight champion . No disrespect to Rees meant , he's done very well winning a World title with his size and stature but Kotelnik is a step above him and won't let Rees do what he did to M'Baye . Apparently it is Maliginaggi who is being looked at as a potential opponent when McCloskey is ready for a World title shot . But European should come first anyway and Colin Lynes is a good champion . Lynes does have to defend against Branco soon in a mandatory and should he come through that I think it will show he is a very good fighter with a World Class jab . Lynes v McCloskey is 50/50 for me .
One poster on here is going to be ringside at the Rees fight - and the same poster has £150 on a Kotelnik victory at the very good value of 4/6!
if mccloskey keeps winning....and keeps attracting RTE backing and exposure....his profile is rising all the time....khan is already huge...i think this fight could pull a massive gate in Ireland...of course its wishful thinking...but ..sure you can always wish
