its a close one really - I swapped them twice actually. Inactivity is really the only reason that Magee aint number 6.
It is hard to separate a few of the lads alright. The article and bios are very interesting, good stuff SBW:good
plenty are close and others could jump significantly with just one good win. I think there is a definate split between the top ten and the bottom ten.
Cheers for that I thought Lindsay looked class. He made it look very very easy. Jesus the cold in that place was terrible. I told a few mate how cold it was gona be but they still went up in t-shirts the clowns.
List is good, Just a few im still getting my head around... Magee shouldnt be that high - He has not had a fight in 12 months Think Dunne should drop down to 3 and McCloskey and Macklin move up. Think i would have put in Simon O`Donnell before Spike
you put a lot of effort into that list...and other things you do too...wiki articles etc.. fair play fella.
Lads how about Martin Rogan V Kevin McBride for Irish HW Title. If McBride is not interested then Fury. Also how about Michael Sweeney V Coleman Barret at Cruiser weight?
You've got to be joking Adam? You have got to look at level of opposition. If Macklin or McCloskey successfully defended their titles against their EBU mandatories then maybe you could make a case for that but beating Asikainen and Rasilla while impressive is not enough to get either one ahead of Dunne at the moment.
here is my latest offering on B0x1ng Scene. Just replace the 0 in the word "boxing" in the address with an o This content is protected
It the quality of opposition that McCloskey has to improve on to take that position in my humble opinion.
Magee's past achievements and current upcoming fight combine with unbeaten run ensures his lofty position. Dunne has fought at higher levels than the other two - winning one, losing the other - still higher a level. Simon is still a novice, hasnt fought anyone of note and has been inactive in over a year without any hint of a return - it would be impossible to include him at this time - O'Sullivan is active, fought better opposition and on the verge of an Irish title. Spike wins the fight for #20 by KO.
Fair enough i think next year we could see McCloskey challenging khan for the world belt, he should become be no1 then:thumbsup
I think McCloskey will be #1 next time those rankings are updated (super job by the way) but as of now none of the other boys have mixed it up at his level. McCloskey and Macklin are on the verge of it but they aren't there yet.
