Is it just me or is this weekend's Limerick card one of the worst of all time?

I remember Lee's first Limerick fight had himself, McCloskey and Macklin (although his fight was cancelled) on the bill and Mike Perez aswell.

This is poor, I suppose its no surprise with all Irish fighters busy at the minute but I'm sure Mr. Peters could have thrown something better together than what we have.

I certainly wouldn't agree with that. Asikainen has beaten Sipos(who himself is far better than Gibbs or Vera), and Elcock is better than any of the other 3 aswell. The shell of Campas that Macklin fought was probably equal to that of Gibbs or Vera.

Ajetovic is better than the version of Gibbs Lee faced, so overall I think you can say Macklin has faced much stronger opposition(don't forget he's fought Moore aswell).

I don't think Lee is up there with the likes of Macklin, Barker or Sylvester yet. He'd beat Duddy imo, and N'Jikam and McEwan are both too unproven to to really put at a level for me. Lee still has plenty of time to progress and he's got plenty of ability too. But they'd be crazy to try and force a Macklin fight anytime soon.

Was suprised at Jamie Moores recent KO defeat.Looked like he was made of iron against Macklin and was headin for a title shot.

Yeah very poor indeed, knew it was going to be poor but **** this is dismall,The win to lose ratio these guys have is frightening,
I know Peters is billing this as a night out food court, bar, match on the big screen etc but really we deserve better Powers opponent is the only one that has a better win to loss ratio and thats just barely.
The amateur show will have better matches than this.
Still i love watching Lee live though.

Lee struggled with Gibbs, lost to Vera and looked bad against Sippos, wheras Macklin destroyed Elcock and Asikainen and had an easy night against Campos - one guy's career looks stagnant and the other is heading upwards and onwards

I decided against it mate. Not Irish enough in my opinion. I think he is just below the threshhold to be honest. The criteria is "born on the island of Ireland or consider yourself primarily Irish" - primarily Irish being the operative word - I just dont think Fury does. I couldnt be wrong but I dont think so.

    Dont think so Paddy.

I choose all Macklins three to beat all three of Lee's - plus Macklin beat all his three and Lee didnt.

If youve seen the french lad fight then there would only be one outcome Lee UD

a KO would be an excellent result for Lee! this boy likes to stay in a shell so hes very hard to knock out or look good against
