I dont know but i reckon if you came over for the fight on the 5th you could ask him yourself! you might want a few pints of dutch courage before asking him out incase you get rejected! Remember it doesn't make you any less of a man if he turns you down! :deal
Hey, its not me saying anything. The same guy told be he hand sows the sequins inta his shorts! :blood
Was I imagining things this morning or did I hear Bernard Dunne on the radio saying he would like to fight Poonswatt again?
I knew I wasn't going insane http://www.newstalk.ie/news/sport/dunne-give-me-poonsawat-and-ill-be-back/ http://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/kfaugbaukfau/rss2/
I hope thats just the kind of talk to keep his name in the paper and in peoples minds. Either that or he's still feeling the effects of the shots Poonsawat landed and its clouding his judgement. He hasn't a hope of winning a rematch. By the sounds of that he can go on at SBW or choose to move up the FW. Hopefully Hawkins will talk him into staying at SBW. FW is just about to become the hottest division in the sport
great news- but Paddy Hyland and Bunce expressed concern for the amatuer game last week. That new am' tournament could ruin all the good work done.
It must have been a dream-Galaxy and poonsawat, however, would jump at the chance- they have said a few times if the money was right they would be over....They reckon they got nigh on 40k and made a mess of a 250k offer the first time round....
Realistically, if Bernard was to move up to FW, how much would his punch resistance improve and how much more zip would he pack in his punches? And would it be enough to worry/shake a FW - like Chris John/Gamboa and future FW's like Caballero/Vasquez/Marquez? At SBW is it not the case that he has sort of been found out? If he wants to be champion again in this division he will have to stand and trade at some point because that will be the gameplan of every fighter with half a brain that he takes on, and unfortunately he just can't do that with any sort of a big hitter at this weight. Is moving up the only option? Waiting for a clearout at SBW looks to me like time lost with no guranteed benefits. (I know these issues were discussed in lenght after the 1st poonsawatt fight, but loving watching bernard fight and hearing him say he would like another go at the wba sounds like a nad dream to me, I think everyone agrees a 2nd fight there would be tragic)
