"Bald head slick"? bald head "mother****er" more like it! "What the hell does that mean"?? What it means doucebag, is that Irish boxing fans exchange info and opinions on a thread started by a gentleman and boxing fan. Who,The only thing you have in common with, is that you could call him a cab, but you'd probably **** that up as well! Why not head back th the other general forum threads where men of high caliber meet and discuss things "intelligently"
At the moment it is going nowhere. I dont think it will be worth much yet but in a couple more years maybe it will get me Ringside seats at a top fight in Vegas:good.
SINKY SAYS http://www.irish-boxing.com/stories/november09/nov09_sinky_says.html I believe if Neil gets the chance against Rhodes, he can beat him in style. It will be like Rhodes/Matthews all over again, only this time with the Sheffield man getting brutally KOed by a rejuvenated Sinclair.
It seems that Frank Moloney is now looking at getting a Dunne and Munroe fight on:think. On the site it says that he wants Munroe to fight Dunne as he wants Munroe to have a knock out before he fights Nishioka:think. Since Munroe won the European title he has only stopped 2 of his fighters in 6 fights. 1 of those in Dublin retired because he broke his hand on Munroes thick head while the only other retired in his corner:think. It seems to me that Munroe doesn't have the power to get rid of the fighters at European level so World level it will be harder again. Is Moloney taking a huge risk as Dunne got beaten by maybe the best SB at this moment in time is Moloney writing off Dunne:think. Look at Rendalls last fight it was a hell of a lot closer than the judges made it out to be and I had Munroe losing the fight by a round no wonder Munroes corner man had a look on his face like he got away with this. So the ball is now back in Dunnes court does he take on Munroe and a win means he is a fight away from a World title shot or does he move up a weight:hey. No matter what Dunne does Moloney will be back with Dunne has avoided Munroe and so on but if you look at Dunne he wanted Munroe before he won the world title so they are as bad as each other. Will it go ahead if so it will be a great fight to see. A good test for Dunne on his return to the ring but a fight that it could well be win or bust at SB for him:bbb. What does he do.
EUROPEAN super-bantamweight champion Rendall Munroe has thrown a lifeline to the fading career of Bernard Dunne. The Leicester binman is willing to risk next year's world title challenge against WBC 8st 10lb champion Toshiaki Nishioka and face the Irishman first. Munroe (20-1) is ranked second in the world by the WBC and underlined his world title credentials outpointing Simone Maludrottu last week. It was the fifth title defence by the southpaw who took the title from Kiko Martinez - who had flattened Dunne in 86 seconds.. Munroe has since repeated that win over Martinez, while poor Dunne's career is in the doldrums after losing his WBA crown in three rounds to Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym in September. Munroe's promoter Frank Maloney said: "We made a fantastic offer for Bernard to face Munroe last year and I never heard a word from Dunne's camp. "I am now willing to make them another offer to face Munroe early next year if they are brave enough to step forward. All his manager, Brian Peters has to do is call and lets see if he is up for the challenge, but somehow I doubt it. "People might think I'm crazy to want the match, but Rendall could do with a knockout before facing Nishioka." Maloney also hit out at internet criticism of Munroe, who has held the European title since February 2008 and also won the Commonwealth title. He added: "It is unfair on Rendall, but he has got big shoulders and just laughs off the criticism from people. "I do get angry because he has made five defences, and beaten two mandatory challenges who are world class, Martinez and Maludrottu. "Martinez was unbeaten in 17 when Rendall beat him for the first time. Maludrottu is a top drawer, made six defences of the European bantamweight title and last 12 rounds in a world title challenge in Japan. "Rendall is one of the strongest super-bantamweights in the world and a top class pressure fighter. Brian peters better try and make this happen.
It's a fight Dunne should take-maybe have a warm up first. No question it'd be difficult one and you'd have to make Monroe favourite-he was pretty impressive on fri night.
I have to say i was impressed with Munroe (for the first time)on Friday- he mucked in and fought when he had too- i still think Dunne would beat him.
I actually thought he was atrocious. He should not be struggling with guys like Maludrottu as much as he was. I had Maludrottu winning by 2 rounds.
Looked like the guy was gonna bully Monroe out of it but he came back strongly and dominated most of the 2nd half of the fight. My suspicion is Munroe might be too big and strong for Dunne. His last two fights are bound to have taken somethin out of him.But its a fight he should take to see how much he has left.
Cant see Dunne vs Munroe happening with all the contract differences(R.T.E & Sky) and i reckon peters would want to be the sole promoter for it to happen.....Id love the fight to happen but been realalistic i cant see it happening....
Just been reading on Irish-Boxing.com that Oisin ***an wants another fight before xmas..... Well there is an opening on the December 5th show if Michael Kelly will take on Oisin....Both boxers have worked or still work with Brian Peters and i reckon it could be a ******* of a fight too
