Dunne could be strugglin to make the weight, he certainly wasnt a small feather-weight. Hes 29 now and currently fightin at the lowest weight division hes ever fought at, which goes against the usual trend. I'd say give him a tune up at feather in the new year and then decide from there.

Gavin vows to punish French foe
26 November 2009 - By Mark Doyle Frankie Gavin is promising to take his frustration at seeing the Republic of Ireland robbed of a place in next year’s World Cup out on his next opponent, Frenchman Samir Tergaoui.
Ireland suffered a heart-breaking play-off defeat by France last Wednesday week, with the tie’s decisive goal, from William Gallas, coming after two blatant handballs by Thierry Henry.
Gavin, whose parents hail from Tipperary, was devastated by the nature of the loss and is promising to exact a modicum of revenge by taking out Tergaoui when the collide at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on December 5.
"I'm going to smash Tergaoui up for the people of Ireland who feel the same about the French as I do at the moment," the former amateur star declared.
"This won't make up for missing out on the biggest football tournament in the world, but it will make me feel a lot better after I've knocked him out.
"I don't normally need anger to get me geared up for a fight, but this fight has really got me going and I can't wait to set about him a week on Saturday.
"He looks like a good strong kid and he can punch so I'm looking forward to testing myself against him."

To be honest i think Poonsawayts team see Dunne as easy money. They admitted making a mess of the purse bids for that fight and ended up fighting for 200,000 less than they could have got. SO they want that action again. Poonsawat always says he respects Dunne-but when pushed he admits he thinks he could do the same again maybe quicker next time. His managment are just looking for a pay day- and they loved it in Ireland they would love a trip back- they also praised Irish fans

Agreed about the lack of power he is planning on moving down to LW

Hes an exciting fighter Ive got a video of him from FNF in Febuaury I saw it live in a bar in Philly what a scrap that was!

Danny hopes to be over here for a few months early next year.

I don't think so. I think Hyland would have to do something to get offered a shot at the EBU. He'd need a ranking to jump ahead of the queue with the likes of Parodi and Bedak

I think Kiko Martinez has moved up to Feather-Weight, so that fight will be out of the question

The Hylands need a solid contract with a promoter, Warren,Hatton,Hennessy ect....or someone with a TV deal to get them regular fights and have the connections and money to attract the big names and titles.
