Anyone heard anymore about McCullough coming back.............. I would like to see 3 fights at Super-Bantam this year and i think all 3 can happen in ireland.... Paulie Hyland vs Wayne McCullough Bernard Dunne vs Rendall Munroe With the winner of each fight facing each other for the EBU... Seems very logical........Just my opinion though
The winner of McCullough - Hyland has no shout for an EBU crack. Hyland wins and hes beaten a lad with no ranking of any description. McCullough wins and he has one win against a mid leve European fighter. If Dunne and Munroe clash, and its a pretty big if, then the winner is looking for world honours. The only way the winner of McCullough - Hyland would get the winner of the other fight is if Dunne or Munroe was looking for a tune up fight ahead of a world title shot. However, at this stage, I'd say neither Dunne or Munroe are in the mood to be fluting about and would probably want to get on with it. Anyway, I've a sneaky feeling Munroe loses this eliminator if he has to fight in Mexico. If that happens then the whole ball game changes and all bets are off.
The company i had it hosted with.....Their server went down and all was lost....so ive only started doing up another site and will be a week or so before i have it back online.... Any suggestions by anyone will be gratefully accepted.........
McCullough isn't eligble to fight for the European title and still wouldn't be if he beat Paulie. That's why him v Kiko back in 2007 was going to be a 10 round non title fight.
Fair enough! Shoot for the moon and all that! I didn't think they would jump right to the top of the ladder that quickly but fair play to them if they can
I got a mate who is close to di bella and he says that Lou would sell his own mother to get Rigo (he would also be happy to take on the others) Top Rank and Golden Boy definately have a heard on but so far ive only heard rumours
I toiled with the idea of attending this contest, but decided to give it a miss. Instead I will make the trip to the Citywest, Dublin on April 17th[I know the fight isn't officially announced yet] to cheer on "Sinky". Jamie Arthur v Martin Lindsay put back to March This content is protected Arthur has won all seven of his bouts since his 2008 comeback Jamie Arthur's challenge for Martin Lindsay's British featherweight title at the Newport Centre has been delayed. Cwmbran's former amateur star Arthur, 30, had hoped that the fight would be staged on 5 February. But the clash with undefeated Belfast man Lindsay, 27, is now provisionally scheduled for Wednesday, 17 March. "It's going to take longer to stage the fight than I hoped, but the fact it's in Newport more than makes up for it," Arthur told the South Wales Argus. "It's everything falling into place for me, I said I would return to boxing because I felt I could become a British champion and now my chance has finally arrived. This content is protected "With the bookies I am going to be the underdog for this one, but to be honest, I wouldn't want it any other way." Lindsay has won all 15 of his fights, six by knock-out, claiming the title by stopping Paul Appleby at the Ulster Hall in April. Arthur retired in 2005 after successive stoppage defeats but he has enjoyed a perfect run of seven victories since returning in 2008. He secured his number one contender spot with a thrilling points victory over previously unbeaten Akaash Bhatia at the York Hall in June, a bout that was nominated as the British fight of the year. This content is protected Martin Lindsay is unbeaten in 14 fights Arthur, now promoted by Frank Maloney, first hit the headlines at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in 2002. Campaigning at lightweight, he became the first Welshman to win Commonwealth Games gold since Howard Winstone in 1958. Arthur struggled to adapt his style to the professional game, but the 10-round victory over 26-year-old Londoner Bhatia is one of his most impressive. 'Kash the Bash', the first professional British Sikh boxer, had won all 14 of his previous bouts since turning professional in 2006.
