If I was about I would have no problem puttin ye up, but I am not sure how the new Mrs. G would feeling about a bunch of unrestrained unhousetrained nordie rapscallions having unrestricted access to our pad!!

If I was ye I wouldnt go staying in Leigh - get a train back into Manchester and sample its delights.

    Irish Boxing Awards

Brendan Galbraith - The most recent renaissance of Irish boxing coincides with the fledgling Irish Boxing Supporters Club (IBSC) Awards, which will mark its second year by hosting the award ceremony at the An Culturiann in Belfast on Saturday 23rd January 2010.

The event is sponsored by Bogart Menswear and is organized by the IBSC in association with the Boxing Union of Ireland. This celebration of Irish boxing is undoubtedly a fantastic and timely addition to the boxing calendar.. Last year, demonstrated both the healthy supply in emerging Irish boxing talent and multiple title winners and, demand for Irish boxing – as evidenced by packed houses on the same night for the McCloskey and Rogan bills.

The unenviable task of selecting the winners is even greater this year with the addition of several new categories. The award categories are the following:

Professional Boxer of the Year (Bernard Dunne, Matthew Macklin or Paul McCloskey)

Prospect of the Year (Carl Frampton or Gary O’Sullivan)

    Coach of the Year (new)

Irish Champion of the year (new)

In addition, Irish Boxing Hall of Fame awards will be distributed and a special boxing exhibition will also be on display on the night that will chart the history of the sport in Ireland.

In the inaugural Irish Boxing Supporters Club Awards Paul McCloskey scooped the Boxer of the Year Award, Martin Lindsay secured the Prospect of the Year and Irish boxing legend and former World Flyweight Champion Rinty Monaghan was the first inductee of the Irish Boxing Hall of Fame.

A limited number of tickets for the event are available by contacting Bobby Lavery on 07808175612.

I am not sure Ardy. I was looking at flights and it makes sense to come home on the Saturday as the flights are expensive coming home on the Sunday - so no football for me I think.

Yeah £67.50 return from the City, and I'm sure you could pick up a room in Manchester for around £50. It's only a few bob.

Cheers friend,I'm pleased you enjoyed them.

I got something right!!! It must be a miracle. :good I'm just a hungry ******* for a devastating counterpunch KO. With your stance and natural style as well as your power could lead to some seriously hurtful punching as the other man tries to come forward.

Any chance of getting a video of sparring with Acosta or Booth?
