na to be fair to them you started this shitty thread goading the fellas that are worked up but usually OK like Earl Hickey, and the knuckle dragging spastics like Little Tyso. So it was to be expected. better nobody responds to it any more or else its moved to the lounge.
I watched it on tele, and the atmosphere sounded amazing. Props to both fighters and their supporters.
Maybe it will be if she does?:huh To be fair to Ireland, some of the northern athletes compete for Britain, alan campbell bronze medalist or the hockey player for example so we are losing some there and we do have a population the size of north + east london (maybe less). Its all relative.
Shitty thread?bigging up the Irish fans by saying how great they were, bore off, dont respond if u dont like it..
says the kid who wrote '****' in capital letters to me in this very thread:rofl im perfectly calm. A little annoyed I suppose, im going to be playing football later and will miss the Lomachenko fight as a result. *sry you didnt write in capitals actually
So what if im gloating,im very proud today of the fans and Katie, shouldnt be a crime to say it..,i never insulted any Brit boxers or people..
Just the one capital letter my friend. Damn that sounds a shame, unlucky you, still you'll be able to let off some steam then. :smooch
Most Irish fans are alright. A few of them are a bit one-eyed though, such as our now departed friend PatrickP who threatened to track me down and petrol bomb my house when I dared to suggest that Duddy was nothing more than a crowd pleasing journeyman in the Gatti mould. Apparently Duddy was the second coming of Hagler and Hearns put together, until he scraped a split decision against Smichet or whatever his name was - not sure of our Paddy ever returned after that. You can always have a bit of a craic with the Irish fans, though some of them fail to see irony and take offence very easily. One thing I do like about them (and Sweaties too fwiw) is that they'll always support their sportsmen/women. The English usually do in fairness, other than in the footy and occasionally in the rugger too - though even the most ardent England fan would have been tempted to start supporting someone else having to watch the AIDS-riddled shite that Johnson's team played. Given that I live in Leeds it's a good job I like the Irish, they're everybloodywhere
But it wasn't about "bigging up" the Irish fans was it? It was about goading the British fans by pissing on their support. If you truly wanted to pat the Irish fans on the back then you'd have been better off doing it in the Irish thread in General.
