officiaslly louded fans so far http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs...far-created-irish-female-boxer-163836554.html
by all accounts the british fans have been supporting all of the irish athletes in any sport over any opponents other than brits. keane is a complete ****, but he is right about the unprofessional side of things in irish sport. this irish 'best fan in the world' carry on is great and all, but it is definitely allowing some of the focus to move from the underperforming governing bodies. in summary i would definitely **** the bird in that picture above.
Well done for the Irish fans supporting their best fighter who happens to be a woman. If a female fighter was our best hope for gold I am sure we would give them massive support. I believe the British fans gave Ennis much more support than the Irish gave their girl. It's about focus and attention , our focus was scattered over many sports and athletes , the Irish was not. The singing and drinking at the Euros can also be put down to acceptance, accepting Ireland will never win, accepting the fans won't be able to afford to go on tour again because their country is bust.
What the **** are the irish singing about, I didn't even know they were at these Olympics, always the same with that bunch It's a shame singing about potatoes isn't an Olympic sport they'd get gold in that
There you go, our greatest sportswoman ever versus some English girl most have never heard of, it was always going to be the Irish making more noise, as if it matters... I am happy for Katie, she deserves wider recognition.
Just for the record I actually thought the British support for their fighters during the sessions, and particularly Jonas was amazing. Was the Irish supporter greater and leader, well yes it was, but as pointy out Katie is/was likely to be the highlight of the Irish at the games, meanwhile Ennis and co in Athletics, the rowers and the cyclists will be the highlights for the British at the games. Overall it created one hell of an atmosphere, and that tremendous atmosphere was equalled by the quality of the contest. I know there are various forms of trolling and bullshitting, but saying you'd like to see Jonas come out on a stretcher is a step too far for me....even on the internet. She's a terrific fighter and a great ambassador for women's boxing in the UK. Very unlucky not to pick up a medal simply due to the draw because imo she's the best out there after Taylor and Ochigava. Now thankfully not only have some of the other Irish fighters delivered but the Brits aswell, which is great not only for most of us, but for those of us who are anxious to see a few of them turn over aswell. Afterall The British/Irish domestic scenes do crossover to a reasonable extent. Hopefully someone will delete this thread, it's intentions were never good from the start, and what has occurred is simply an abomination. WAR LITHUANIAN GUY !!!
