John Duddy was dropped against Leo Laudet but won the fight in the first round. Andy Lee has never been dropped, amateur or pro.

Have you ever seen these lads fight or did you just check their boxrec profiles to see if they had stoppages? Because if you saw them fight you'd be shocked greatly. Mike McTigue? He fought in the 20's... when did you see him fight? If the list go's on then why did you stop eight fighters?

****ing useless they are I tell you. It's a wonder they win any medals at the Olympics or any other competition at all, them being so **** and all.

They are probably paying off judges left, right and centre, buying medals and titles in the amateur and pro ranks. You know like that Irish heavyweight Anthony McJoshua at the Olympics and that little lightweight Ricky O Burns who needed a robbery to hold on to his paper title...oh wait, that's not the Irish, it's their "cousins" lol

Remember Jerry Quarry too. Yes he was born in America but it's my understanding that Irish Immigrants could be quite clannish, I believe Conan O'Brien said he traced his lineage back through something like 3 or 4 generations and all of them were descendants of Irish Catholics if not first generation immigrants.
I think it's a culture thing. The young fighters who display the characteristics valued by that culture will receive the support and encouragement required to fully develop. I remember on that recent Freddie Roach Doco series, when he was in the Philippines and talking to some local politician\promoter\whatever who said something like "If they don't have power we tell them not to bother because power and knockouts are what the people want to see."
There must a boxing\fighting culture that values grace\speed\precision over natural toughness.

Dont see how you can slag our boxing history off, of course GB has more world titles ect how much bigger of a country compared to us, In the olympics take the lucky wins team GB got aside and our medal tally and its damn clos, no Joshua or Ogogo getting a medal and i'm still convinced if joe ward wasnt robbed in qualifying he would have got a medal, I've big respect for British fighters but for our population Ireland has a Hugh number of top fighters.
