Irish Middleweights Matthew Macklin and John Duddy??

    Both of Matthew's parents are Irish, he spent a lot of his childhood in Ireland playing hurling ffs (how Irish can you get?!).

    Macklin has his work cut out with Elcock. The kid has some power and Macklin's chin is not good. He was hurt numerous times by Ajetovic.

    Macklin has a good chin, he took the best Jamie Moore had to offer and only went down to exhaustion. Since when did getting hurt by punches equal a bad chin?! Punches are supposed to hurt, he never went down to Ajetovic and he is a better all rounder than Elcock.

    I don't think he's got a good middleweight chin. He seemed buzzed everytime Ajetovic got near him. And Geard is not that great of puncher, not like Macklin made him seem. On the positive side he's boxing nicely instead of brawling, he'll need to do so to mask that chin against Mad Dog.

    Yeah but he played underage hurling for Tipperary in Ireland up to the age of 16, thats irish enough for me!!

    no problem! i rate macklin a lot more highly than Duddy, macklin is more well rounded and doesnt get hit as much and as often as duddy.
    Macklins an exciting fighter put up a good show a couple of years ago when they threw him in the deep end with Jamie moore.
