Domínguez is listening to his corner advice, heeding their calls for "yab, yab!", or "abajo (downstairs/basement)" and "arriba (above/up top" respectively. Just one and done from Domínguez. Rodríguez just keeps turning him, occasionally breaking into a lateral trot either straight back, rightward, or in a diagonal. A few light jabs and flurries on the way by from Rodríguez, lulling Domínguez before taking a downward swipe with a heavy telegraphed right hand, missing as Domínguez sets his feet and counters with a left hook aimed at the liver, but a few inches shy and instead just scraping gut.

Is this because I criticized the cinematography??! Look I'm sorry, I just have very high standards! I was a cable intern access in high school and had experience on professional-grade DV equipment by the age of 16 (filming student hockey games for local TV), ignore my snark!

 

Yeah, we've definitely missed all of R4 by now, which effectively kills my RBR. Ugh.

 

Like yeah it was a mismatch and not that entertaining up to where it cut off, but still... I was in the middle of something.

Domínguez from the sounds of the commentary (whoa, there's commentary now?!) has continued pitching a shutout.

Let's call it 60-54 Domínguez. The stream returned in R6, which just ended.

 

Domínguez vs. Rodríguez, by the way, is apparently NOT the main event, somehow. This is the only eight-rounder on the card; the rest are 4-rounders. I really don't get it..

 

Round 7

Rodríguez is gassed out badly, driven into the ropes with some body shots mixed in with fouls. Domínguez is warned for a kidney shot or low blow or something. Rodríguez is ruled as being knocked down, and given a count, but is turning his back on the ref, closing one nostril shut with his glove, having difficulty breathing - maybe has blood in his nose? He is unable to pull it together after the ref giving him a minute, and this one is waved off.

Not a thoroughly inspiring performance, but Somer Domínguez marches on, improving to 16-0 (12).
