My personal faveorite is the Jones/Griffin II, I liked the fight with Harding as well.

I'm not paying money for a first round KO, :D

Will check out Harding though. I think Harding/Toney/Hill/Ruiz - plus Tarver Trilogy and Johnson, will be about right for my RJJ library.

I'm very tempted to get the Tito career set...

Toney v Jones is a must-have just to see Jones at his very very best - ie, far too good for even the best of comp. However, it's not the most exciting fight.

I wouldn't bother with Jones v Hopkins if I were you. It's pretty dull, it's not Hopkins as we know him.

Hill is a good fight to get though, great great KO.

I'd also recommend Pazienza (pure entertainment, but a bit of a mismatch), Griffin I (this is perhaps the worst performance of Jones's career before Tarver I, but it's exciting, and you see Jones's greatness as he takes some good shots and then begins to step up to that extra gear just before the DQ), Richard Hall (another good entertainment value fight) and Bryant Brannon (absolute peak Jones0.

tyson had issues with Big/tall fighters. Jones would be like a tweety pie for tyson.

To all those picking Jones, what would happen to Jones If/when Tyson happened to land even one big one? Please enlighten us.

I think they are under the mistaken impression that Glen Johnson (good fighter, and great man that he is) is a bigger puncher than Mike Tyson :D

Jones wasn't prime in 04 either but his decline probably wouldn't have been so rapid if he had stayed at heavyweight after fighting Ruiz in 03.
Jones who got KO'd by Tarver and Jonsson would have got the same from Tyson, Jones who UD'd Ruiz might have done the same to Tyson.
You would have to fancy the Jones that beat Ruiz to beat Danny Williams, who KO'd Tyson in 2004.

Some good points indeed. But I have to believe Tyson would land something, and I just don't see Jones being able to take it.

I think that is what the fight would come down to. If Tyson landed cleanly, I doubt Jones would have stood up to it, but I doubt Lennox Lewis would have either.
I would fancy Jones to avoid any big shots and win enough rounds to get a UD but I'm not gonna argue with anyone that went for a Tyson KO.

    Shame it never happened.
