I just mean he (Tyson,) fought Lewis who's chin wasn't the best but didn't connect with anything big (not that I remember off the top of my head anyway). I know Jones and Lewis were completely different fighters and what worked for Lennox wouldn't work for Roy, but I'm just saying Tyson wasn't as effective by then and couldn't always break down his opposition like he could in his prime.

Fair enough. Tyson couldn't get anywhere near Lewis, if I remember correctly. If Roy could be super evasive, then he might have a chance, but like Tito4eva said, its hard to imagine Tyson not landing anything significant on Roy in the whole fight, and his punch resistence at this point was fairly shoddy, if Johnson and Tarver can KO him (big time) then I think Mike obviously could easily as well.

Jones dominates that verison of Tyson. Tyson was very slow and had no stamina at that point all Roy needs is to pot shot and use his legs for 4 rounds or so they open up just a little and Tyson would probablly quit or just break down round by round.

So you don't believe Jones story that it was the weight drainage that lowered his punch resistance?
In any case I guess Tyson would have KO'd him, weight drained or not, I just don't think he would have close enough to land the big shot..........not by that time anyway.

No, the weight drainage issue could only really be applied to Jones looking horrible against Tarver in the first fight - a points "win". By the time Tarver II & Johnson happened, he wasn't weight drained and he got brutally KTFO.

Roy got knocked by Tarver who IMO is slower than Tyson..Tyson knows how to put pressure on someone...somewhere in those 12 rounds hes gonna land 1 good shot to RJJ chin...

Man, this is way too easy. RJJ would've seen every big shot coming a mile away. Wide UD and boxing lesson for RJJ.

Tyson would lose by DQ. Roy would make Tyson miss all nite, Tyson would get frustrated & tackle Roy!

WOW - I actually was about to press jones/points, then I realized we're talking about Tyson here. WAY past his prime, but still.. I could see Jones winning on points and actually doing well for a round or two, but Tyson's body shots and power would slow him and scare him, and it would be a matter of time. This is all assuming that he actually had a good trainer and focused..

Nope. Tyson would never be able to focus and give 100% in training due to his mind. And on top of that, Tyson was way past his prime.
