Agreed as far from his prime as Tyson was he most likely wouldn't be fully prepared going into the fight. Roy will shine in the middle to late rounds and plays it safe to a UD.

Yeah, he'd have to really worry about his body, I think his reflexes were still good at HW where he could've easily dodged all Tysons bombs. The after Tyson gets tired, he would takeover & shyne.

In '04, Jones was past his prime also.

Yeah, but were talking more about the Roy that got KTFO by Tarver and Johnson.

And the Mike that got KO'd by Williams.

Jones bring's his tracksuit and run's for his life...
Tyson by K.O. or Jones Jr. by Running scared.

Horrible matchup, even in H2H fashion.

Tyson would win. RJJ would be overwhelmed with Tyson's size.

Well I beleive if he wasnt so keen on making 175 he couldve carried on a lot longer at the top. If he stayed a heavyweight he wouldve beaten Mike Tyson.

I might be inclined to agree with that

Really? I thought it was a good fight with two young lions who were just coming into their own. Both extremely talented and intelligent. That said, they're two of my favourite fighters, and it's true that I could be speaking with a bias.

Tyson tags Roy Jones at some point, and you simply have to believe Roy hits the canvas, given what we've seen of Roy since that time.

Up to 69 votes, and I believe the poll is representative of the truth. Tyson likely stops Roy, Roy could possibly outpoint Tyson, possibly stop him, and Tyson basically no chance to outpoint Roy.

    I cant pick really!!!

If roy lasts the first 3 rounds I could see a wide UD!!!!!!

But you cant count tyson out (even a 2004 version).....all he had to do was connect well on Roy & its over

The Roy that beat Ruiz has a good chance of doing the same to that version of Tyson, the Roy that lost to Tarver and Johnson has no chance of lasting the first few rounds against any version of Tyson IMO.
