Yup, thats why I was so hot on Lacy, looked like a super mw Tyson, then he got exposed by calzone.....what a disappointment
He was a big puncher with a very aesthetically pleasing style who was happy to live up to the image he portrayed in the ring, outside the ring. The way he was built up as a prospect and contender was also very clever. The myth of Tyson was firmly in place even before he won the title and initially as a champion he lived up to the myth of the title of being the baddest man on the planet.
The Power. the intencity, the head movement that shouldnt be possible for a heavyweight, his speed & the ferociousness he fought with & the aura that he built for himself that was still going strong up untill the buster douglas fight, then a lot of ppl realized he was only human....& the media crucified him.... Iron Mikes place in boxing history is cemented.
