As far as I'm aware getting a bruise does not significantly lower your iron levels. As long as it stays in the body, your body is pretty good at naturally re-absorbing whatever it is that makes up the bruise. If you are consistently getting serious bruises (5-6 bruises at 7" across every time you train is ****ing ridiculous, I'd start to rethink your training methods), I'd be more worried about serious damage to your capillaries and permanent damage to your muscles/tendons/ligaments.
In my days of running long distance I was warned about lowering the iron levels through pounding feet. I am guessing it was like bruising. I ate red meat, but made sure to give blood regularly to keep everything in balance. I think any male should really think twice before iron supplementation beyond a good steak. High Iron + cholesterol is a bad combo. Iron makes the cholesterol extremely sticky and blocks arteries. If anything you should REDUCE iron in the blood (give blood) and rebuild fresh using red meat. It is the reason women don't die of heart attacks until menopause. It is the iron. If you still feel you need it? Eat a bowl of oatmeal daily at least.
