This was often the excuse as Hopkins and Jones picked on welter weights and sanitation workers while freezing Joe out of the biggest fights.
I guess after what Benn did to the last brave American it is to be expected, especially when by all accounts G-man pulverised RJJ, Benn whooped Gman, Eubank beat Benn, Joe beat Eubank.... no wonder they avoided Calzaghe.

Um, Joe deteriorated way more so them being older means nothing at all. Joe was knocking people out for fun and his hands went on him, they recognised this so they sat back hoping his crazy speed would die away, it's a sad time when you have to explain the obvious to people:patsch:nut

Yes Lacy went against all the advisers and experts to fight Joe because he believed he could win, and he ended up the same as Hopo and Rojo.:deal:hi:

I guess Joe should have roided up his whole career, thought sanitation workers and welters in his home town, then the casual boxing fans would shout his name from the roof tops, he may need to change his skin pigmentation to be favoured too I guess.

It's amusing you cite her as the benchmark, the very woman who plagiarised Terry Pratchett.
Clearly your knowledge with literature denotes your boxing knowledge :deal:nut:p

I thought Jones and Hopkins both fought Calz.

Not sure I can call it a duck considering that fact.

how? by doing what? he had fewer fights, far weaker opposition and in a traditonally weak division only.

name more than one who got knocked out from his entire title resume. thought not.

so now you admit fully that you were wrong about American waiting for joe to age, contradicting your previous post.

I asked you to write a post that WASNT 100% shyt this time, not one that was. please pay attention in future ty.

When Joe got old, couldn't spar anymore they dragged him up in weight and did fight him yes, but when there was a 70% healthy Joe they avoided him far worse than any boxers ducking GGG today.

Unlike you I've not read a JK Rowling novel, mainly because I am a fully grown adult man.

out of interest though, which story plagiarises pratchett (RIP)? If you are referring to Sourcery, theres really no comparison surely.

People know not to do multiple quotations to me, it infuriates me and I ignore it.

All you have to accept is a shot to pieces, unable to spar old man who had to be trained by his dad and not a legendary boxing coach like others whooped America's two best ever LHW's infront of their hometown fans, judges and family.:deal:hey

Weren't all 3 in separate weight classes during this time you speak of?

And, I could be wrong here, but this version of Joe who you describe as old, had he ever been as highly regarded as he was at that moment? I recall him being undisputed champion and and p4p number 3.

    Joe was frozen out alright.

    By his own admission.

Out of his 21 defences, 16 of those were voluntaries.

Go and check out who they were.

    Watch out indeed.

If only we could get Bailey here.

It would be like the old times.
