I have a question i am almost 16 and i want to start boxing. My goal is too become a pro is this possible. I know i will never become a champion but it is possible with the right mindset and 5 times training a week.

Does that seem like the right mindset to you?

It has been done too many times to say that it can't be done!

With that mindset, it would've been to late at 5!

I’d say 18 is the limit to start amateur for most and it’s a hard situation for those people who need to kick on now because people can’t have amateur fights at the moment by the way Fury’s first amateur fight was at 16, you’d think he’s been boxing since he was 6 not 16

You can go to certain states and technically be a pro no matter how bad you are. Charlie Zelenoff technically had a pro match in Arkansas.

Not too late if you are disciplined.

Marvin Hagler didn’t start boxing until he was 16 years old.....he went to a party and got beat up in front of all his friends...by a guy who was a boxer ....so he decided to become a boxer

No, of course not, but self doubt might be a barrier.

And the mindset really should be 24/7, merely training five times a week is probably not going to cut it.

The way you phrased the polling question will confuse people. 16 is fine to start

Bernard Hopkins learned how to box while he was in prison ....and he became as skilled as any fighter that ever did it
