Craig McEwan is a middleweight who fights out of The Wild Card Gym. He is a tall thin fighter who looks like he could turn out to be somebody. He is reaching the point where he is about to cross the line from prospect to contender.

I've only seen him against Brian Vera, and in that fight he did absolutely everything Andy Lee should have done, and made none of Andy's mistakes.

    Anybody seen this kid live?

Anybody see his last couple fights?

Mcewan vs pairson is up on youtube now, great movement and combinations as usual from craig to win that bout but he has zero power, thats his only major weakness if you can call that a weakness..

I just think craig can drop down to 154lbs and do things, i dont think 160lbs is the place for him with the likes of golovkin, pirog, korobov, and hassan ndam jikam coming through right now, crazy talent there! hell i dont think my favourite andy lee will make it at 160lbs with that opposition but he cant drop down to 154lbs while craig can.......

santos came in like a slob, santos was a good fighter 5 years ago, but its an absolute disgrace that he was still a champion, just like it is that somebody as limited as Yuri foreman is a champ now lol.

    So.

Its still a weakeness, if you ask any boxer if they'd like more power they aren't exactly gonna say no are they.

I don't think McEwan will amount to much on the world scene.

He might win the European if he comes back here.

Mc Ewan,Macklin,Lee,Barker,Duddy and Elcock all from this side of the water and right now i have it
    1 Macklin
    2 Lee
    3 Barker
    4 Mc Ewan
    5 Duddy
    6 Elcock
and i'm still not sure any of these guys can win a world title or beat the likes of pirog, korobov etc .

160 is likely to be quite strong within about two years. From watching McEwan on FNF, I wasn't all that impressed. That's not to say that he's a nothing fighter, but he's not in the same class as guys like Jacobs, Korobov, etc.

As for him going down to 154, that's not going to be a cakewalk either. There are better contenders there right now, for one. Also, the prospects are tough, too. Guys like Lara, Porter, and Boo Boo will take a few years, but they're each quite talented. There are also younger guys further along like Angulo and even perhaps Kirkland once he's released.

He has quite a strong chin, he's taken flush shots and not flinched on more than one occasion.

    Steller amateur career.

Little power. Very good all rounder.

Still learning, and he still has a lot to learn at that.

Beats Foreman handily now at 154.
