is 3 miles in 18mins a good target for a beginner's cardio?

are you talking about your self here?

actually they call me a lumberjack not a caveman.

how about this i put up 2 rounds on the bag /w 16's 1 round shadow boxing w/ 16's 1 round shadow boxing with no gloves and 1 round on the bag with 16's highlighting speed, power, and technique as well as how well those items stand up under exhaustinon (having a round on the bag at the end) and make sure to record the 1 min breaks between each round.

you do the same we post the videos and let the forum decided who boxes and who dosnt with a poll.

or we could meet up and have a match or we can spend the rest of eternity with you claiming i dont know what im talking about while i claim you dont know what your talking about or you can just shut up about **** you dont know about.....i.e. everything boxing related.

Oh ffs ylem.. seriously. You're a grown ass man challenging people over the ****ing INTERNET.

As it happens, your ******ed challenges, even if you won (which you wouldn't, we've seen the vids) prove nothing. Even a good boxer could know absolutely **** all and run his mouth on a forum. Being good at something does not necessarily mean you know anything about it.

your a ****ing ******.....if im good at boxing i obiviously know what i did to get there......and you chickend out of my chalange too your a worthless *****....yet you still seem to tell tall tales about your recent fights......you want to put up a video too? how about one of the fights that youve had and claimed you going to put up?

boxers may not understand that type 2 blah blah blah and more bull **** but they know when something improves their boxing and when something dosnt.

and claiming that a video tells one nothing about boxing....well you might as well just say "i know nothing about boxing never boxed in my life and to claim that a video of 5 solid rounds shadow boxing and hitting the bag shows nothing is all i can say to avoid being exposed".

You must have me confused with someone, I rarely, if ever talk about my fights and have never offered to put up video because I am careful about what I put on the internet. You however, have had no fights and very limited boxing training.

And no, being good at boxing you don't necessarily know what made you good. Boxers tend to have trainers, and you fail to take talent into account. A talented guy could train wrong and probably still achieve well.

Not at all, if you want everyone here to think you're good, post a video of you actually boxing. Not bag, not shadows, actually sparring or fighting. Pretty much anyone can make a good show on the bag or shadows, out of those same people fewer look good in th ring.

sorry it was another One******* that had made those claims but never put up a video.

sooo if any one can make a good show on the bags then how about you make a good video on the bag just one rounds all you need..... wear a ski mask if you want.

 Ylem is going wild. Next time I film myself sparring I'll post it up on here for you okay Mr. Caveman. You do the same, I'll accept a video of you sparring with your pet cat since I know you're a garage boxing master.

I'm fairly sure he's talking about you. The amount of times we've told you you're wrong and you come out with "Well in my theory" then type out a load of absolute bollocks... We use theories by scienctists, physiologists etc etc and facts. You don't. You make things up in your head and try to portray them as facts

That must make you feel better.

Seriously, what kind of awful challenge is this? It proves nothing, plus the fact the bag doesn't punch back. Post up the vids if you want.

I can already tell you who I'd vote for...

Everybody has already agreed, you don't know what you're talking about. You're the joke of ESB.

Ylem, serious question, have you ever sparred in your life? The things you say makes me think it's a resounding no. If somehow you do spar (against your cat or mom or whatever) post up the videos, I want to see your skillz.

  13. 3 miles in 18 minutes is VERY GOOD i run 3 miles in 25 minutes with shin splints i could do it in 20 if i had no shin splints but 18 minutes is no joke thats quick for anyone other than an elite runner

    I do 3 miles in about 22

I honestly can't see how anyone would think it would be easy for a kid that's never run before to make it to 18 flat in a few weeks.
While a 6 minute mile (or 2 in 12, or 3 in 18 ) is definitely a nice goal to have (and 2 in 12 was my personal goal for a while, which I achieved quicker than I thought I would) it is utterly ridiculous to expect someone to do that before they even start training. It has very little carry over to boxing anyway.

The best way to get fit for boxing is to box.
