Can you read? Fury was calling for December fight, but now they want AJ to fight in November. Yeah Fury is just using AJ name. Anyone with 2 brain cells knows that AJ won't accept November date.

60/40 or 65/35 I think, more for Fury in any case.

Joshua would be crazy not to accept something like a 70-30 split, if AJ ducks this I think there's a fair chance he'll never fight for a world title again, he's lost 3 of his last 5 fights and if he goes down the Whyte, Wilder route I think there's a distinct possibility he gets sparked out.

The money guys in the suits will decide purse split, not a couple of behemoth pugilists or financial whiz kids on a boxing forum.

Words uttered on social media by Fury or any fighter are merely that words, titbits to keep the casuals amused and feed the boxers ego.

Until contracts are signed the words are meaningless hot air.

Poor old AJ or indeed any fighter if they had to settle for 20% of a multi multi million pound/dollar purse, it truly is heart wrenching, how do they cope.

That’s another way for Fury to duck the fight. AJ is bringing the cash so he needs to be rewarded properly and proportionately.

I would go as far as saying that AJ is still the biggest draw in all of Boxing, bigger than Canelo simply due to the HW division capturing more casual fans attention

He doesn't have the leverage here, Fury is a huge draw in the UK and the US. He just fought in front of a record gate at Wembley.

Of course it's fair. Joshua is probably 1 or 2 fights away from being a journeyman. He's 2-3 in his last 5. Ruiz and Pulev Ws got a huge blast with Ortiz outboxing Ruiz and taking his shots. Pulev got beaten by Chisora. AJ has nothing to offer at this point and the hype is gone too. He doesn't even deserve a title shot at this point but Fury probably wants the easy payday against AJ before AJ is losing to another guy like Ruiz and calling it a career.

The most satisfying thing in boxing is when the A Side becomes the B side.

They spend so much of their career being a diva, calling shots, making demands.

I love it when they lose their appeal.

AJ gets whatever Fury decides to pay him. And he should be happy.

Of course he has leverage. His box office PPV numbers and fight numbers confirms that. There is a reason the Saudi’s pay a premium. In his last fight alone with Usyk his payday is about $100 Million.

Fury has just confirmed on his Instagram story that he offered Joshua 40%, which is very fair. Let’s see if Joshua wants the fight.

This purse split nonsense should end. Every fight should be 60/40 with the winner getting the 60. Get the commissions in on this.

If you are the supposed "A side" you would be incentivized to take on the best possible opponents to increase the size of the purse.

Maybe 70-30 if Fury is in a very generous mood. He's offering AJ a lifeline and an immediate opportunity to resurrect his career from the dead like he himself rose from the dead in round 12 of Baptism I. He's granting him a title shot coming off back-to-back losses and those two losses to his surrogate father Usyk have really harmed AJ's brand. Usyk is the real money man and the King now whereas AJ is just a peasant begging for scraps at his banquet.

Hilarious that Fury who was adamant he was retired a few weeks ago can't wait till early next year for Usyk to rest and recover from his injuries and the traumatic year he's been through witnessing death and destruction in his homeland for a match up with him for all the marbles. A couple of months delay is nothing for a retired fighter who is younger, fresher with less miles on the clock and who was out for 18 months between Baptism II and III.

He has less leverage than Fury here. Even if AJ is a bigger draw, he won't be fighting for a world title for a year if not more if he doesn't take this.
