    No surprise.
In spite of Little g believing that he deserves the larger purse percentage, as he tried to pull with Ward, everyone can clearly see that Little g is definitely the low B-side of attraction and can't draw flies to a pile of shet.
That's what happens when you waste eight long years fighting bums and b-side opponents.

Didn't Hopkins do only 50k a few years ago? Some other guys did those kinds of numbers too. Tyson, Holyfield, Leonard, DLH, Pac, and May are the only ones who've ever done more than that.

People keep saying the fight wasn't PPV worthy, but it was the only way to bring Lemieux in the ring.

GGG got MSG sold out, Ward sold 8000 tickets in Oakland. For phuck sake,Bute sells more tickets in his adopted hometown of Montreal even after being knocked out and losing his belt, against no name fighters than Ward in his hometown.

Andre "the A side BET fighter" Ward.

    :patsch

So all sportwebsites told about 150k sells.

    like here on esb http://www.boxingnews24.com/2015/10/its-official-golovkin-lemieux-brings-in-150000-ppv-buys/

But if a baised Golovkin hater on a boxingforum say 97K
and he has it from an unbiased outside source it's legit and we should belive it ? :patsch

Compared to Ward, Golovkin is still A+++ side. Ward wouldn't sell 10k ppvs.

Ward cashes the bigger paychecks. Therefore, he brings more money to the table and, as such, is the A side...

I mean isn't that what determines success... if you make profit?

Tell you what, a fighter who did 150K on a 8 million dollar card is more successful than a fighter who did 400K on a 40 million dollar card.

Anyone who can do basic math will know that the 400K is the massive flop. Not the 150K. And yes, it has to do with profit.

Actually, that means he requires more money from the table.

A subtle distinction, to be sure.

Yeah, it makes me laugh some of the younger generations of fans don't ask themselves "was it a good fight ?" or "is he a good fighter ?" ... they just wanna know "what's the PPV numbers ?" !

Hence, Mayweather Jr. is a hero to so many for pulling off the rip-off of the century, passing off a lame sparring session as the fight of the century.
"That wasn't a fight, it was sh!t" .... "Don't hate bro, it did ten zillion PPV buys, the numbers don't lie, dude"

150k .. damn what a number for GGG's first PVP in the US!! It's a great number!

You have to think about that:

    - He's not an American, he's from a country most Americans never even heard of.

    - His opponent was from Canada and didn't bring a huge crowd to MSG or the PPV buys. People paid to see Golovkin!

    - There was the biggest College Football game in the US at the same day, as well as some other sport events.

    - Madison Square Garden was sold out!

    - Most Black Americans boycotted this PPV event and didn't buy it. If they would be intrested in the sport rather than race of a boxer, this would have easily around 400k.

From here, it can only go up!! Golovkin beat in his FIRST event the numbers of American legends like Hopkins or RJJ (who became a Russian actually).

I think it's funny how some racists try to compare Floyd's numbers with GGG. :rofl You can compare these numbers in 2, 3 years. GGG vs. Canelo will top Manny vs. Floyd easily, there's no doubt. :happy
