    So you say that Ward needed to latch onto a midget to get a PPV payday? Why didn't he take the JCC jr fight, that would have been PPV? :D

    For PPV success you need TWO strong sellers or ONE megastar and a sustained advertising campaign.

    GGG has no pedigree, is not even a big star (though is rising) and HBOs promotion was weak.

    Yup. People need to keep in mind that Canelo and Cotto don't carry PPV's by themselves when they have a unknown opponent. They'll just be on reg HBO. GGG was on PPV because of how much money Lemieux was asking. It was the only way to make the finances work.

    Yeah, they sold like 300K I believe. Keep in mind though that this was after Canelo fought Mayweather and got the superstar exposure.
