Now calzaghe had hopkins backpeddling all night, a guy who's not known to be a puncher, then we have pavlik a much harder puncher, decent chin, very strong, and no stamina issues, after a few rounds hopkins will realize he won't beat kelly and fold just like he did against joe, may be even get himself disqualified, tipical hopkins. pavlik stoppage before 10.
Not so sure about Pavlik stopping him, I'm hoping he will. Bernard will probably be decisively outpointed whilst on his backfoot all the time, popping that eventual right hand now and then.. only to say he was robbed after the fight (or... maybe he'll be humbled this time and give Pavlik some props, who knows.. I'd be shocked) I hate to see this acrimonious Bernard Hopkins, he's not been the same since Jermain Taylor I fight.
kind of ironic, if pavlik wins which I think he will, then hopkins will be beaten by to "white boys" back to back, may be he should stick to fighting black guys:nut :nut :nut :nut
I really don't care about that.. all I care about is Bernards outright ****ed up ego, he still thinks he only lost ONE fight. Jermain Taylor derailed him so much in their rematch.. in the later stage of the fight where he thought Jermain was gassed, Jermain stepped up toe to toe with him and he BACKED away, despite being obviously behind on the scorecards. He bummed out that night and Jermain could've knocked his ass out :yep
Well aside from the 8 year old post, why not? Many said the same about Taylor going into the first Pavlik fight and what happened there? A crushing KO that put the "never been KOd Taylor" to sleep. Stop being unrealistic
I don't pretty much care for them, just like to see them fight so what will be will be but I'm going for Bernard on this one
yup its quite possible..hopkins hasn't been stop his whole career yet its not crazy at this point that he is shot to say he could get stop. Other past atgs for example no matter how good they used to be defensively got stop as they reach the end of their careers
I believe to know Hopkins battleplan. Similar to the Calzaghe one: During the first rounds he will try to break or at least hurt badly the relativly thin arms (especially at 170) of Pavlik during clinches - of which there will be plenty. Pavlik might win, but he might also very well be hurt very badly - maybe even at the cost of disqualification of Hopkins. Only a NoBrainer=Person without Brain would say Pavlik KOs Hopkins for sure. If you are almost certain keep to 95% or sth, this is boxing after all.
