Is A No Brainer Pavlik Will Stop Hopkins,100% Sure!!!

Hopkins has never been stopped in 20 years and has fought hard punchers (Echols, Trindiad, Tarver) in the past. So, I really do not see any basis to your statement.

 

If Pavlik couldn't stop Taylor in their second fight, considering Taylor's defensive flaws, he'll never get enough straight rights through Hopkins' defense to stop him. IMHO. I think it's going to be very interesting to see how Pavlik responds to the first right-hand counter that hits him. Hopkins isn't a big puncher, but he's a much bigger dude at 175 than he was at 160. It will interesting to see how Pavlik's head stands up to LHW shots.

You claimed Hopkins is scared SHITLESS of Tarver and would never fight him, when the fight was on you were all over the place with laughter about how Hopkins is going to get killed. IMO, Hopkins is so much more skilled than Pavlik that there can't even be a comparison. Hop is a master, Pavlik is just a brute, but a very effective one. But Hop showed in the Calzaghe fight he simply no longer has the stamina/fitness/energy/workrate to compete for 12 top-class rounds, and Pavlik is younger and fresher and hungrier than Calzaghe. Unless Hopkins can get Pavlik out of there early (there genuinely is a chance of this if Hop drops his career-long tactics and goes for broke, coz Jermain Taylor almost managed it v Pav, and Hopkins showed v Calzaghe he still has good 1-shot power), then I see this being a Cotto-Margarito sort of fight (in terms of momentum, not punishment). Not that Hopkins will get stopped, that is impossible for a guy of his magnificent chin and defence, but Pavlik will take control by the mid-rounds and win them all til the end. Shame, as Hopkins of '01 would've brutalized Pavlik.

 

No way will Pavlik stop Hopkins. Benard will not allow it. The Executioner will stink the joint out before he lets himself get hurt. I can't help believing that Hopkins would have beaten Calzaghe if he was willing to take some more chances . Benards main goal is to get paid, and his second priority is not getting hurt.

 

hopkins wont get stopped in this fight. Should be very boring tho. Pavlik gonna come out swingin, but I think Hopkins will tire him out and make him miss a lot. I could see it going either way, but Hopkins being stopped? Not likely!
