If he loses by KO/TKO that would be a gift to non african american boxing fans who are hypocrites with no morals, and think Floyd is nothing but a cocky n***er.

Floyd won't lose because while being very good at boxing he's become equally good at choosing opponents. Of all the guys who've called him out in the past few years, his selective hearing has only heard Hatton and Marquez. I even doubt he had a legitimate injury to postone the JMM fight, he probably calculated that he needed more time to fully prepare. There is no manager or promoter that could make the best fights for the best money as well as Floyd can for himself.
Floyd is certainly not the only fighter in history who hasn't fought everybody, but it is dissapointing when someone has so much to offer and provides only a fraction of that.
If Floyd were to lose, I don't think it would effect the sport significantly. Theres too many other interesting fighters out there. But it would provide his critics ammunition for their argument that Floyd wasn't all that in the first place.

that would be the best thing for your agenda

if floyd went on to beat jmm & pac.... that would be great also...

shane is a **** boy who had his chance and he blew it...
floyd would **** on cotto if it was a mystery before its clear as day today..

there is no reason for floyd to fight anyone else outside these 4 guys

Is that aimed at me? My 'agenda'? I have no agenda or vested interests, mate- I just wondered if this thread would generate a rational debate and judging by the feedback so far, it has. It didn't take long for this thread to get nasty, though:-(.

I believe his ego or fear of loss drives him, so i agree with u there

This is why Im rooting for Floyd, besides that he's the most skilled boxer out there

I dont think a loss would make him fight more opponents because if you remember
    1. Shane ducked him, he was offered the fight twice and ducked him
    2. Cotto as offered the fight and Bob Arum declined the offer
    3. P. Williams is a ****in 6 ft Welterweight, I would fight him neither. If Mosely fought him and lost I guess it would force him into the pic a bit more and make him a possible opponent for Floyd but for now he's up a middleweight.
    4. Maragarito is a cheat so doesnt count
    5. Clottey lost 2 Cotto, fightin him is a backward step

    Whoelse ?

Floyd might as well keep his '0'

nah i mean im not trying to take a shot at you or something...

im just saying most people who want him to lose have some sort of agenda..... if he were to lose he would probably just rematch that guy probably beat him and go on to his next fight....

    but yeah...

there are only 4 guys (well realistically 3) who are worth fighting

    jmm ( not really )
pacman (which will happen after jmm granted floyd wins)
shane ( who had his chance but he blew it.. how can you be mad at floyd for doing the same thing )
cotto ( who i previously stated may have looked tough at one point but it should be quiet clear that floyd would pick him apart )

its funny because now that the dust has settled from the welterweight clutter of the past couple years its not like he really has to fight any of these other guys like that....

The fact that I would love him to lose has nothing to do with the fact that I'm white european :). I just like Marquez as a boxer and prefer him in this fight. If Floyd fights Pac maybe I'm going to back up Floyd I haven't decide yet. I don't give a **** about Floyd being cocky it's funnier like this

:goodWell I don't wanna see him lose either; personally, I think you guys over there give PBF way too much stick. My point was that because he can keep arguing that he's the main draw, he can always dictate the fights and terms. If anything, I want to see PBF retire undefeated having beat EVERYONE there is to beat at 147. Then there will be no arguements of him 'cherry picking' fights out there. Unfortunately when you have an '0' for as long as PBF has- people always question the wins and the fighters on your resume.

Look if he wins against Cotto and Shane only idiots are going to question his 0. The problem is if he is even going to take one of those fights

:goodAlso a valid point that I agree with. I just say it because people always give fighters stick even when they have proved beyond any doubt that they are the best.

If he 'does a Naz' and decides to pack it all in, then YES

If he comes back stronger, more determined and a little more willing to take risks having already lost his '0', then yeah.

It shouldn't take a loss for him to fight the best. The TV companies should simply refuse to accept anything less than the best from him and any other fighter for that matter.

Look at the ******s here, the same ones who considered Margarito an ATG, question whether he will take "risks" after Marquez.

If he doesn't fight Pacquiao or Mosley next, as he already announced he will, then who do you think he will fight?, he sure as hell won't fight your mothers.
