i hope jones turns him over. I'd absolutely love it. Jones is a true boxing legend not a manufactured one.

Both fights are uninteresting to me. Neither fight has any significance. Both Hatton and Joe always choose the path of least resistance. If Hatton wants to prove his the best at 140 then he should have fought Witter when he was the number two or at least face Bradley. The same goes for Joe. If he wants credibility there was Taylor Pavlik Dawson or Tarver. Much more worthy names and fighters that can actually fight back.

malignaggis plan is to do what mayweather did, "flashy skills" "quick hands" "razzle dazzle"

I think both are dangerous at the respective stages of their opponents careers, a miscalculation on both Hatton and Calzaghe's and both could win handily. If B-Hop could put JC down and shake him a few times, couldn't Jones stop him?
Malignaggi can't punch, but the toll on Hatton's body may by now have diminshed his durability considerably.

Is Jones gonna be the biggest guy here dawg.

    Think bout it.

He has wan the heavyweight title - weighing in at 14 stone or something.

And he is the former Undisputed Light Heavyweight CHampion of the WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWorld.

This is only Calzaghes second fight at light heavy - and his first fight against B Hop was against a guy who had only had a fight or two at light heavyweight himself

Jones was knocked out twice by two different people 4 and a half years ago. Not only was he knocked out but Johnson sent him to sleep on the canvas. The weight drain from HW theory doesn't wash because on top of his KO's Roy was also outpointed by Tarver to defeat 3 years ago. Johnson was beating Jones clearly on all score cards when Glen KOed him as well. The guy has not done a single thing of note bar get knocked out twice, and outpointed in the last 5 years (6 years ago at Light Heavy). On his last outing Jones failed to KO a welterweight...

Surley Malinagi can't be that bad can he... but then again...

To be fair Pauli is the no1 contender so you can't moan too much.

Yes. Malignaggi is a never been, Roy Jones is a has been. There is a very very slim chance Jones can rekindle even a tiny percentage of what he was, whereas Malignaggi has always been a featherduster with glass hands.

If it was just the KO's you could brush them aside but Johnson, and Tarver both outpointed him as well.

    Jones Jr is gunshy

Calzaghe will without doubt take the fight to him, that's when Roy backs off into his shell and takes a relatively mundane points defeat

To (not) answer the thread, he is simply too different a fighter to Malignaggi in so many respects to even compare, it's just impossible

jones is definitely more dangerous than malignaggi.

jones still has speed and packs a bit of a wallop.

    malignaggi is all boxing skills.

and hatton will take that away from him quicker than he can say "hair extensions". :yep
