I think that was an technical battle in which many people actually gave winky a shot, only to go back to the b-hop vs smaller men theory when he got schooled.

 

Paul Williams' style would have troubled any version of Winky, imo.

 

I still think Winky beat Vargas in that fight. Imo i think Wright that fought Trinidad would easily beat a prime Pavlik at 160 pounds. Pavlik can't deal with pure great boxers. Look i know booradley and the rest of Pavlik fans will say "Taylor was nailing alot of clean shots at Winky. So if Taylor can do that then Pavlik can do it better." <<<For real people come on. An out of shape smaller Wright move up to 170 pound catch vs Hopkins and barely and i mean barely lost by a point or 2 while Pavlik also move up at 170 pounds to face Hopkins and was that fight close? F4CK NO!!! In which Hopkins easily and i mean EASILY beat Pavlik. Style wise Pavlik would have easily easily lost in a shut out to a prime Wright that fought Trinidad.

 

I was a huge Winky fan I thought he outlanded Bhops, but he was outgunned. He always had problems with volume punchers like Solaiman and probably with a prime Williams too.

 

That fight was a very close one.
