Is a there an active boxer today you would favour over a prime winky at 154?

    Pre Martinez Williams gives even a prime WInky trouble.

    Martinez edges him at Mw,,AT JM i think i might lean towards WInky

    I had Vargas-WInky a draw.

    Cotto has his momentsbut onceWinky turns it into highgear he beats up Cotto...117-111 type decison.

    Winky is a class above Molina...But style wise i thinkhe gives Winky a betterfight than Canelo,Cotto,Angulo,lara,Dzinurik etc etc.

    Winky ATG 154 imo, legendary and very underrated. Top 3 fighter of last 20 years.

    Other two are Floyd and Manny.

    Because I made a similar thread a while back , and I had all the Floyd fans saying Winky would get outboxed.

    When in reality it would be a total mismatch at anything around 154.

    I posted a thread in the classic a week or so ago about Winky versus a prime Terry Norris and people were pretty split on it.

    Probably only 2 or 3 other guys at 154 in history that'd get that kind of split with Winky

    There is every chance that cotto can nick an early round or two imo but winky will prove far too strong as the fight progresses.

    Winky is criminally underrated, he lost when he was green to that guy who sweet pea beat. Then imo didn't lose again until hopkins.

    During that 7 year period I mentioned I believe winky was unbeaten: brown and vargas both hold very contentious victories over him.

    Skill level at lmw is beyond question and i'd favour hearns to beat him and after that only a handful I might give a chance of beating him, in that handful would be mccallum and oscar. They might be strong enough to prevent a winky domination but I wouldn't be surprised if winky did indeed dominate.

    Anyone of the level from noris and below loses to winky imo.

    Winky allwrong for Manny wrong style and too big.
    FLoyd Winky would be very close fight..Pickem or maybe lean towards Winky,

    Not sure I follow the logic. Even less sure why you said he would knock out pac in 1 round.

    Man did Winky die or something. He was truly a great fighter but man, nobody beats him. P. Will dominated Winky, truly not a prime Winky but not a shot Winky. I say Lara gives Winky a tough fight. The contrast of styles would be interesting.
