Is a weak chin the ultimate weakness for a fighter?

    There is definitely a limit but I think that if you work hard enough to increase hand speed, power or whatever area you're trying to improve you can come near the level of the "gifted people".

    Having a solid chin is the most important attribute that determines success in boxing. If you can't take a punch, all things being equal, you aren't going to go too far.

    Slow hands and feet. Speed is relative even slow guys look fast when they
    fight guys that aren't elite. The boxing world has a great abundance of
    weak chinned guys that rose to the top.

    There are some instances in which the chin is clearly the difference that makes the difference especially at the highest level of boxing, the elite so to speak. Look at Amere Con. That is pure shattered glass. Even though he does his best to protect it, by fighting at range, as soon as it gets clipped, its lights out:deal

    To the guy that said poor stamina is the biggest weakness: You can improve your stamina, but I don't think you can improve your punch resistance.
